I'm sure you've answered this before but I didn't feel like reading a bunch this late. What is a good timing profile to start with for a tekno sct410 w/pro4 4300 setup, 2s 7200 smc running at SDRC indoor clay??

receivers
Hi all .
Just wondering if anyone has anything "negative" to say about the Sanwa MT4 radio,it's response rate etc, and the compatable receivers ie 3 and 4 channel that can be used with it ,when used with the gen 1 or 2 ESC's ? ,as Im'e about to buy one to replace my 4 year old Spectrum DX3R . Iv'e also switched to XPert bls hv digital servos in nitro ,and would like to do the same with my electric's ,(when the current one's wear out) ,and upgrade to the gen 2 esc at the same time for the 7 amp BEC. so anyone know of any problems with Xpert or any similar HV Brushles servos ? FWIW .......I just found out the hard way ....... A lot of strange and unexplained faults can arise if the Radio's steer ,and or throttle pot's (potentiometers)are shot or on the way out ! ie servo jitters and throttle input strength to ESC:nod: |
MT-4 is a fantastic radio. The MT-4s is hitting our shores soon or is starting to be sold here now. Faster speed than the first MT-4.
You can read about the radio here http://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-el...l#post13070628 No idea on the servo, Hobbyking stuff is hit & miss but know knows... maybe it would serve you for the next few years for cheap. The 8v HV bec is a nice feature of the gen2 esc's. |

I'me getting a new MT4 locally (last one) for a good price, and as far as I can tell it's"tried and tested" where as the new faster MT4S is as yet untried !and quite a bit more $ Ime coming from DX3R .5ms response to .25ms with the MT4 i think/hope ? or is that the s ,ile have another look , and provided there's no benefit compatability wise with the RX8's performance ,dont see the need for anymore speed. The servos are a new brand on the US market made in taiwan ,we have had them here in Aust for @ a year ,not cheap ,but similar to futaba hv etc . Im'e gues im'e :confused:just not sure what would be the best combination of MT4 Transmiter receiver, and Servo's for use with the RX8 and RX8gen2 |
The MT-4 is plenty fast, its a big step up from a spectrum radio. I have seen a few spectrum users walk off the stand because better radios over power them. You never see that with an airtronics radio.
The radio will work with any ESC, no compatibility issues there. There have been issues with Savox TG servos and lower end spectrum radios paired with weak Bec's. The 7a bec in this ESC should be able to handle any servo you throw at it paired with the HV capable airtronics reciever. |
thanks you very much mate ,youv'e put my mind at rest ,and im'e more confident with my decision now .

LUPALRA
Just a heads up... I just bought a brand new RX8 gen 2 with a 2050kv last Wednesday and installed and wired everything up on Saturday. Gave it it's first test run and after 5-6 mins of runtime it would stop dead in its tracks, (or in flight) steering worked fine, and act like it was "re-calibrating" while led's 1-4-7 would flash while making the tri tone that it makes when it's armed. After a few trial and error procedures with the RX and a glitch buster and a few A$$ kickings that my 8 e 3.0 took when it decided to shut off while in flight, I decided to pull her off the track. Checked motor temp and esc temp each time this happened and motor would be 120f-130fand esc would be 114f. I got a hold of tekin Monday morning and they said to go ahead and get it to them ASAP and they will get the problem handled through warranty. I should be hearing from them today. If they tell me anything that relates to the problem I will let ya know something. This is my 3rd rx8 g1/2 and 3rd t8 motor as well as 2nd RS esc and redline motors. Never had an issue with their product until now but it seems that when something goes wrong, they're on it. If I were you I would go ahead and get it up to them if you have a race on the 16th. Cheers, Steve |

This is my dash board (You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made a certain number of posts. You have not reached that limit yet) I canīt put url:
Voltage cutoff: 4s Drive Mode: Dual Drive Motor Direction: Normal Throttle Profile: 3 Brake minimum: 0 Throttle Minimum: 3 Drag Brake: Off Brake strength: 60 Reverse speed: 60 Neutral Width: 10 Current Limit: Off Push Control: Off Current version 246 Others versions 249 238 Today I modified Neutral Width, from 42 (parameter original) to 10, but the same thing keeps happening to me. When that happens the esc restarts, the cells of the lipo are all 3,8 aprox thnks |

Hey guys I have a problem with my gen 2. It's brand new. Hooked up to a HD4300 motor in my tekno sct 410. I'm using brand new Smc 5000mah batteries. I get about 5 min run time until the ESC will shut down and restart every 30 seconds. I'll have no power, only steering. Once the ESC resets the truck will run just fine again for about 30 seconds and it will cut power and restart again. I know this because one of the guys was standing by the corner of the track when it happens and he hears the ESC restarting. Any ideas why this is happening? I check my batteries right after this happens and they are around 3.8v per cell still.

That's exactly what was going on with mine. I talked to Randy and was told to send it back to them. I sent it in last week. I'll update ya with the word tekin provides. |
