If you find the STM8S Discovery Kit a bit annoying, you can buy this ST-LINK V2 programmer for less then six bucks. Just tested it and it works great. The setting for this programmer in the ST Visual Programmer is the same as for the Discovery Kit one.

I just figured I give an update on my radio since I was able to race with it twice now. The radio is great. I ended up actually winning the stock sct main with the radio. And I also just got an old pan car which was just horrible at first. Then once I set up the expos and trims on the radio its like the car is on rails. I noticed that one of the most successful and knowledgeable guys at my track is running a gt3b. I let that guy try out the radio with my car and he said he like the gt3c better than his gt3b.

Hi guys, I just did my first bind on a GT3C tx/GR3E rx 1/8 buggy, using the same steps as outlined above, forward is good, but reverse takes several trigger pushes to get a response, and then because I'm pushing the trigger repeatedly it can be at maximum reverse when it does engage, not good.
Then after it's engaged once it seems to work normally for a while, I can roll it back & forth with just a touch, but after going forward a while, reverse has to be 'coaxed' again.
edit: I also notice that releasing the trigger from reverse to neutral, reverse trys to re-engage, succeeding half the time in instigating a 'slow' reverse, trigger at neutral as I said.
very new to rc here, any assistance would be appreciated.

try re-calibrating your ESC
also try adjusting the ESC settings so that it only provides 50% power in reverse.
some ESC's require a 1-2 sec delay before reverse can be initiated, this is to protect your car from inadvertently slamming into reverse when you may only want to feather the brake with successive brake pumping when racing through tight chicanes.

Hi at all,
i'm new to this forum but i see a lot of interesting threads about interesting things for my hobby... ehm... hobbies
I want to (re)start with rc cars and have bought a GT3C four days ago.
I've opened the radio and tried to flash the psx 0.61 fw with a ST-LINK V2 from ebay (that one sold in a variety of colours in a form as usb pendrive).
I'm not new in programming microcontrollers but new to the ST's...
The flash end successfully, and the first time after flashing turning on the radio it work correctly.
If I press the power button to off and then to on the radio enter in a rapid bootloop. and next times i remain in bootloop.
The lcd backlight flashes, the buzzer start to make rapid beeps, and i cannot operate on buttons.
I have to says also that i power the radio with external usb cord because i haven't yet received the batteries from Honk Kong. If I change power source the things don't change.
I have tried to flash the original fw and all work correctly. But I want psx fw!
Owner's of modded GT3C you can try to power up radio with usb cord without batteries and see what you get from that?
Thanks in advance!
Sorry for my english.
