Are you holding the button on the receiver down before powering it on? Do you have the black wire to the outside on the servo plugs into the receiver?

black wire to the inside I believe

I will hold down the green button, plug in the battery, it flashes

I hold bind button on radio, power up until it blinks and let go of bind button and the radio light goes solid

Ive released the green rec button at different times while Im powering everything up and it still just flashes

Will it get power if I put the neg wire towards the outside?

Thanks for your help, I feel stupid but Ive never had to mess with receivers. Sorry

Is it flashing a couple times per second? It flashes faster when the power is applied backwards.

Black-negative to the outside. It is marked on the case if I remember correctly, just hard to see.

Good to hear you got it going. The markings could be more obvious, this is not an uncommon issue.
