I've been running these vant packs over a year now. Still have 2 4000mah shorties that still work great. no issues what so ever. the only batteries I run

I'll be getting these delivered on Monday or Tuesday. Everything I have read and heard about these packs has been positive which includes its reasonable price. For those who have them (particularly the 7600 stick), my question is at what amp rate are you charging your packs? If over 1C or 7.6 amps, how much over and have your packs held up and lasted for some time without feeling any drop in punch or runtime?

I usually charge all my 2s Vant packs at 12 amps. Never had an issue and still strong as day one.

I've had some of my vant packs over 1.5 years. Takes 5-15 minutes to charge depending on what class I'm running. 2wd buggy barely uses any mah so they take much less to charge. 4wd a little more. I always balance charge every time.

Yep I storage charge as well. Thanks for the info! I see you run E-Buggy as well (Tekno EB48.2). Do you use the Vant 7600 packs for these? If so, that would be a solid amp draw & "test" for them. Mine will be exclusively for E-Buggy (RC8.2E for now). Can't wait to receive my order this week. By this weekend my old Reedy & Peak packs are going to become practice packs! :sneaky: |

they seem to be just fine.
I have been running these batteries for 2 years now. And I love them. I'm just a basher and don't race....I find vant is definitely much better then the Traxxas 2s battery I was running at almost double the price..since I started using vants I'm extra leary of the " big name batteries" I can't possibly imagine more power for double and triple the price it's not possible and if so it's definitely not worth it..

It's been proven over and over that to obtain output with thise ultra-inflated C ratings is almost impossible given the physical size of the packs. However, they still may be very good packs, it's just those high C ratings are just too high to be real. If you try one, please post back and let us know so others may also enjoy a reasonably priced LiPo battery. :sneaky:

The only 2 brand name batteries that have lived up to their reputation has been Venom and TrakPower., both of which are easily the best batteries I've ever used. They are now several years old and are just as excellent today as they were the first day I got them. One of my venom packs even caught fire form a shorted out CF ESC shelf on my 4.2 that ignited, and though the case melted a bit, the pack still works perfect. I've had a Vant Saddle for over a year now and they have puffed slightly but so far are doing quite well. Excellent performance throughout full runs. Never close to dumping on me. When it comes to Lipo batteries, today, most are made elsewhere and VERY FEW RC companies, is any, actually manufacture their own cells. Most pay to have molds made with their name on it and peddle them as their own. |

After much hesitation I finally made the decision to try the Vant.
I bought two 2S 6500 100C packs the other day from the barn floor and they where here in VA in two business days. I also used the ILLTRYVANT coupon code, so In was able to get both packs shipped for $111.78. That is half of what I was paying for the proteks I had been buying. I am currently cycling them a few time with my cellpro powerlab 6 to break them in before I head to race this weekend. The internal resistance was at 2milliohms on the first cycle, so that is looking real good. Will post back up with my findings, but so far everything seems to point out that I got a couple nice batteries for a lot less! |
