USPS is way better. I've ran my 4600 90c shorty pack a couple times now and its a great battery. My only real complaint is the female bullet plugs are on the large side. Do you know what bullets for the best? Even the stock ones that come with it for charging don't fit tight. I like a real nice tight fit.

The Duratrax Solid bullets have always fit very well for us and people at our race track. Part Number is DTXC2306

When do you expect Vant Battery 7.4V 7600mAh 2S Cell 75C-150C HardCase LiPo will be back in stock?

Vant says they will be shipping to us at the end of the month. About 2 weeks, give or take.

No, You do not need a power supply for this charger as it is already built in :-)

I am the ROAR battery certifier and these packs have never been submitted to me from Vant.

Wildcat1971 07-28-2014 06:58 AM

what exactly do you certify on a battery?

Dimesions, safety notices and charging instructions, proper UN shipping documentation which covers a range of tests such as dropping, etc., proper battery terminal labeling, battery tolerances for dimensions to manufacturer specifications, ROAR Affiliation status, case material and thickness, retail sales availability and they used to require a ROAR label. The label requirement has been removed. If they are not on the list, they will not be allowed for use at most ROAR events where they validate against the list. I know they enforce this 100% for nationals tech inspections.

Do you see any chance of a standard and enforced mAh and & rating method?

Wildcat1971 07-28-2014 09:26 AM

not many people do ROAR events, so the vant are fine for club racing or even local events that dont follow roar standards.

The only standard is the power rating. It's usually shown in watt hours on the labels and it's simply calcualted by voltage multiplied by milliamps.
