I can't seem to get enough rpm out of my 17.5 for stock blinky. Should I gear it higher? I have the timing all the way on the positive side on the can, and still not enough. I tried the negative end, and it was even slower.

Have you checked the temp?

You know the 17.5 motors never get hot. I will try gearing it up to 25 pinion.

Turnigy red can 1/8 endbell mod
I have been running the Turnigy 1/8 motors and while they are good for the money there is a problem with the endcap coming out and leading to bearing failure....this has happened at our track to me and another racer....here is my fix for the endcap problem.:p

At my local track if you're not pulling off the track at 150 degrees you're not hanging with the fast guys. You can go from 115 degrees to 150 with just a little timing or a couple tooth pinion change. |

this one : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...or_1900KV.html i think the 2350kv is the most durable one, didn't have any issues yet : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...or_2350KV.html |

Hey guys I am looking to either order a 2100/1900kv Trackstar for my Flux XL /w the 150a Trackstar genII.
I am a bit confused though, are these motors really only rated at 4s as the specifications state? Also on a sidenote, whats the hot ticket for the wire connectors these days? These things are moving so much current now I am looking at changing over to EC5 or HXT. |

Thanks MP! Ever try running the 2100 on 5 or 6s?

I have the red 4150kv 550 SC motor in my Tekno. I have the TrackStar SC120 ESC and it doesn't have a sensor plug, so I'm running this motor Sensorless right now. Its fast, but it has chatter or cogging or whatever its called in the low end, and it sucks. Once you get up to speed it goes away. It has good punch, good top end, and decent torque. But definitely I would recommend using the Sensored feature with the proper ESC. Its not horrible Sensorless, but it could be better.

Hi guys, looking to use the 10.5t in a 1\10 buggy, we run indoor on polished wooden floor, I see there is 2 10.5's available
A 3730kv and a 3250kv, wondering which might be better, currently using a 10.5 speed passion, think they are rated about 3800kv! Not sure if lower kv would be better or go for the 3730 |
