FlySky FS iT4 vs GT3B

I just started racing in carpet VTA racing. I have the GTB3 that I do like however reading the threads about the Expo and Dual rates not working like they should on the GT3B i have been considering the upgraded one with the mods from Overkill. Now I see the FS iT4 and am wondering for the $50.00 or so difference from a modded GT3B vs FS iT4 should I just get the FS iT4. I see the whole binding problem with the iT4 every time you want to run a new car but really it has to only take a few min to rebind anyhow. Just a convenience problem. Anyway if you guys were in my shoes would you jump to the iT4 or stick with the GT3B and why? Thanks for your time and help!

Hi

I recently purchased the absima cr4t which is the exact same handset as this . I've read a lot of this thread but still have a wee question .

Is it possible to set any of the trim buttons for brake EPA or travel ?

I like being able to dial in (or out) a bit of brake power on the fly as I'm driving. I can see you can set a trim for throttle rate but that adjusts the throttle as well as brake .

Is there a way to do this ?

Have the amount of trim travel been and the Exp issues been resolved on the later model Flysky radios?

Hello, I'm in the same situation, I Always set the equivalent TR4 for steering EPA and TR5 for brake EPA, but I think they aren't availiable in the menu. Maybe in a future firmware update...

Hey guys i emailed Flysky and they sent me a new radio and all the sensors. This one goes from model to model with no problem. I dident have to send my old one back they just sent me a new one which i thought was nice of them i dident ask for one. I just asked what i needed to do to get mine to do it.

I found out that there is a new Firmware update for the FS IT4. It comes preinstaled on the last IT4 shipped. A friend of mine has it and there is an option to change from the AFHDS 2 to AFHDS on the RX setup/bind screen. You can use the older 3 channel receivers and I think it keeps binded to the older receivers (could not test since we did not have these receivers).

I asked FlySky about the new firmware so we can update on our older IT4.
Awaiting for a response.

could you see if it is the updated version that has the check box option to disable afhds2? if you disable it then you can bind it to the old recievers and that is rumored to allow you to bind to multiple recievers, as far as the telemtry recivers go, you might be stuck to using just one at a time, but the recievers automatically go into bind mode so its not too much work to re-bind but I will wait until this is fixed.
