Yes SCT pro, I haven't ever needed a better BEC unless your running a HV servo.

I have 0 experience with them but a lot of guys at the local track are using them in all their cars because they're inexpensive and they say they work great.
after my tekin blew up one of them approached me and said I should look into the HW SCT pro for my 1/8 buggy. that's what they've all switched to after buying multiple over priced junk from teking etc.

I couldn't find one as they're all on backorder at the time and I have a HV servo I wanted to take full advantage of. (more torque and speed). and the HW doesn't support a 7v servo.
so I went with a Viper VTX8. in case you guys are wondering, this thing is a heck of a lot smoother than my tekin RX8 gen 2 was. I love the brake system it has too with being able to adjust it to certain rpm's of the motor etc. so much better system than the RX8 has.

Can't go wrong with an SCT Pro. Very smooth ESC. I used one however I switched to an Xerun 120a V2.1 because I wanted to play around with boost and turbo in my SCTE running a 4000kv Xerun SCT motor. Best combo I've run so far. Smooth power and blazing fast on the straights.

thinking of spending some scratch on a hobby wing setup just need some much needed direction.

looking for something in a combo pkg for 2wd open

budget not an issue. needs to have a small footprint though. i want to try running the esc inline in the battery tray on a serpent spider buggy and then later on in the mid motor version

thanks for any and all recommendation

I just burned up a Tekin RS in my Dex410 and want to try Hobbywing. Space is really tight as you know, as well as over heating. What do you recommend?

Hobbywing made premium quality products.
It built OEM Speedo for Orion and SP although they refuse to admit it.
I have xerun 3.1 120a ESC on my on-road, one of the best ESC I have ever met.

If you run sensorless the SC8WP is the most reliable for 3-4s I have ever used, absolutely and you can take it for a swim!

just blew up my system on my sc10 4x4, looking to get something on a budget and came across the hw sc8 combo with 4000kv motor. anyone have experience with this? I see alot of you referring to the v2.1 or v3.1 120a but nobody has said much about the sc8. from what i can tell its maybe just a bit older but seems to do a lot of the same features. I run on a medium sized indoor track thats more technical than speed so dont needs tons of adjustment features (like turbo, etc).

thanks in advance
