Hobby Wing ESC's

Been hearing alot of good things about these speedo's. I'm in the market to purchase a new ESC but do not know what one to get. From what I could figure out the Xerun is top of the line for 1/10 offroad. If anyone has some input on these ESC's or any Hobby Wing they think i should purchase please help. Also could not find where to purchase the Xerun, did not find it on Hobby king Website.

Thanks in Advance.

depends on what class your going too be running too decide what esc too get, but crc also sells them same with falconsekido or hobbypartz.

if you were going too run a stock non boosted class you can get either the justock or xtremestock, the xtremestock is the same as the justock just with boost profiles basically. for mod class you can go with the newer v3 or the 120a v2.1, or if your gonna run a class that calls for a 1 cell lipo go with the hobbywing 1s. I would definitely recommend getting a program card with whichever one you choose it makes setting it up MUCH easier

hope this helps :D

If you want the USA guaranteed official site go to http://www.falconsekido.com/
These are very good speed controls. We have several converts at my local track.

I love my HW escs. I have the 1s for my WGT and Justock in my VTA and nothing but good things to say about them thus far. 1 side comment, you need to turn the brakes up a little higher than you would on other speedos it seems like to get the same performance but past that they are very smooth.

I'm a new convert to Hobbywing. At first, based on reading the forums, my impression was that they were just cheapo chinese knock-offs since they are the producers for Orion and Speed Passion. And I had some bad luck with some batteries and a charger from China (Turnigy and GensAce stuff).

But you know what, after being convinced by the local fast guy at my track to just buy one and try it - I couldn't be happier. The hobbywing is high quality, works well, easy to use. I really like it a lot. I've always been a Tekin guy myself, but for the price I couldn't be happier with my Justock. A gem out of China! As far as the brakes, just get their 2 capacitor upgrade and things will be fine. It's 8 dollars. FalconSekido has been great to deal with too.

Made in China doesn't mean bad quality at all. As well as made in the US doesn't mean good quality..

But yes HW stuff is very good for the price, reliable too.

yeah, that's true mostly.... contracted to china from a known good brand is usually good. but designed and built in China shops themselves are still kinda sketchy I think, but coming from an electronics background... made in japan almost always means its good :sneaky:

Looking for some advice on downloading the software for my programming box. I am running windows 7 and I am struggling with the process. Any help would be great.

I've been running Hobbywing escs for about four years. It's ALL I run. I have one Ezrun 18 amp, two 25 amp, one 35 amp and one 60 amp. I only have one Xerun 120 amp that I've run in just about everything. Duratrax Evader ST, Losi xxxt, Losi JRXS type R, and right now it's in my Evader EXT. IMO, you can't beat them! ;)

Im thinking about going with a HW esc for a 4wd sc truck. Strictly racing. Just looking for input from any HW owners to see what my options are.
