I forget, was the DX4S 11ms vs the 5.5ms or something?

Yeah, but the ergonomics of the DX4S play a bigger role in my driving than the faster response time of the DX4R.

Got some practice in with the DX4S tonight and I prefer it over the DX4R I just bought (It's currently for sale). I did have to swap the grips from my DX3S which were a perfect fit with the DX4S as the new style feel odd to me.

Hi guys,

Can anyone confirm if these cheap orange relievers from hobbyking will work with this radio?

Cheers

to answer my own question, No, they do not work.

It runs through the bind process ok. When I hit the bind button the fast flashing light on the reciever stops, slow flashes a few times then nothing. After that I can't do anything with it.
Does anyone have any advice?

Heya, can the model memory from the DX4S be backed up onto an SD card? I've got a 4R on the way and would love to save the setup time for all my cars.

I received my new DX4S radio yesterday and I noticed the firmware is R2.1. The latest firmware on the Spektrum website is 1.2. Any ideas when this was updated or what that update does?

It no longer works with my Spektrum Marine MR3000 receiver...that really sucks!

That's very odd. If you find it puts your car on autopilot and destroys the competition, please let me know. I could use the help!

Apparently version R2.1 means no DSM and no DSM2. Only DSMR...that kind of sucks.

That means those 301 receivers no longer work and there are no options for telemetry as there are no DSMR telemetry receivers.

Where'd you find that information? i was just looking at the version history and still can't find anything past 1.2. Why don't you just reflash to v1.2?

Can you flash back? I thought they blocked previous firmware from flashing. And I found the information after an online search. I'll call horizon tomorrow to verify with them. I know it no longer works with my 3100 clone or my MR3000 receiver.
