These are 7200mah 2s race formula packs on a tekno 4x4 with 4600/rx8 after 5-8 minutes.

Temperature of the pack has to do with how much energy your pulling from them. In 2wd buggy the pack will not really get more than warm. In 4wd SC they will get warm/hot. This class shouldn't really be run on 2S in my opinion as it's allot closer to 1/8th scale than 10th scale.

As far as the distortion of the packs go this is normal as the cells fully use up the inside of the case so the 1.5mm plastic will distort. All Lithium cells will expand and this is normal. In fact in an article I read awhile ago even cell phone manufacturers leave some room for expansion. Lower mAh packs with lower C rates will not show this as much as there is extra room in the case to allow expansion. The high end packs with maxed out C rate and mAh will get slightly rounded as there is no clearance inside the case. The cells are built at 5.5mm and there is 4 cells in a pack so this is 22mm and the case is 25mm once built this leaves 1.5mm for the case thickness.

Sorry for not being on the site as much as I have been crazy busy. All pre-orders are shipped for models we got in stock this week. We have those models listed on the site as we had extras.

So all the "puffing" that people complain so much about is normal?

Every time I have tested raw cells under certain amp loads I have seen an increase in thickness of 0.2 to 0.3mm so you multiply that by 4 cells it's 0.8 to 1.2mm and since the cells are already pushing on the case it will distort.

All of this could be avoided if we wouldn't max out the cells thickness but unfortunately competition between factories and brands pushes the limits so cells are now at maximum thickness inside the case.

If the cells get big enough to balloon up and crack open the case then this is a damaged pack and should be disposed of. If the case just rounds up a bit this is due to expansion.

For those who don't follow our Facebook page I would like to inform you that we now ship all orders using USPS through Paypal this means you will get an email from Paypal at the email you have provided to Paypal. This email will give you the tracking number.

For the orders who ship via UPS we still put your email address provided with the order in the UPS system but for an unknown reason some of your don't get these emails. One thing to do would be to make sure your email address is spelled correctly.

Also trying to resolve the issue on our site that shows the order still Pending even if we have completed it. Hope to have this resolved very soon. Will also work on getting a notification email when the order changes status.

Thanks for shipping my order in time for the weekend Danny! I ordered 2 packs on Tuesday and got them today (I'm in southern California). I'm excited to run my truck with super punch! Thanks SMC!

All orders placed Frday after 3pm and on the weekend have been shipped today unless items were out of stock.

Anyone have a chance to run the 4600 shorty in stock yet ? The IR on this model is very low now for a 4600. Looking for some feedback.

What kind of resistance numbers do you see on your 5600 race packs?

There really is no way to compare IR as the equipment used and the ambient and pack temp will have an impact on the IR. Also a wired pack versus a inboard pack will have different IR. This is why we don't list IR. Currently our 7200s have been in the 2.0 to 2.4 range on inboard packs. The 5600s have been in the 3.8 to 4.20 range. These are tested using our ESR meter at storage charge and 72 degrees.

No other shipping options is pretty annoying. 5 business days to norcal from va sucks. Pretty sure I've gotten random stuff from china in less than 5 days.
