4s, less amps, less heat. 2s, heavy short course, lots of amps, lots of heat. Just depends on application. I went with EC5 on short course and decided to change the rest of my cars. Have NEVER had an electrical issue since.

What do you mean? An EC5 is a bullet type of connector.

He mans bullet connectors straight into the battery. No other connection break area.

No difference between that and a hardwired battery with a bullet style connector like the EC5.

Well, one difference: any heat caused by resistance in the bullet connector doesn't end up in your battery.

A pack with inboard tubes and a wired pack will have the same resistance assuming the wire length to the ESC is the same. Solder connections is what and wire length is what increases resistance. Both style packs have the same solder connections.

As I explained it's very hard to offer packs with different connectors. Some like EC5 and others may like the XT60 or other connector.

For those running EC5 can you tell me if the male connector is solid or does it swivel ? Current flows on the surface so typically you want a good surface area and you want it solid.

Mine swivels and the connectors are never hotter than the wires.

Just like with 4MM, some are solid (Losi and ProMatch (sorry)), some are birdcage (Hobbyking).

I use the hobbyking ones for nothing but charging.

When the connector swivels this increases resistance.

I believe middle of May will be the earliest we can get more but will keep pushing our suppliers to try and get them to us before then.

4300-50C shorties should be in by the last week of April. For the 4600-70C still waiting on the date for this model.

You also need it to be real copper. Have seen some made of Brass and they are very high in IR.

We only sell solid real copper 4mm connectors. Makes no sense to try and buy good packs and then increase resistance by using bad connectors.

Can you post a picture of the male connector in your EC5 connectors that are solid ? Seems like some of them have the split/swivel style male connector and the ones like you have which are solid. Would like to see a good picture of the solid male connector.

Thanks.
