I'm interested in trying out these batteries but want to know what the warranty is. For instance if I have one go bad in 6 months will smc take care if it? If so how? Offer a replacement at a discounted price like venom or replacement or tell me sorry you're out of luck.

I'm getting ready to order two of the 5600 60c packs for racing this spring, can't wait to try them out.

From that page

*Damaged/Crash Replacement Program

All SMC packs come with 2 year damage or crash replacement program which allows you to get a damaged/crashed pack to be replaced at 30% off the regular sale price listed on our website plus shipping charges. A valid proof of purchase is required and it must be within the 2 year period. *

Thanks but that still doesn't answer my question. So if I destroy the pack by crashing my car into a brick wall I'll get a new one at discount, but if I treat it correctly and it goes bad 6 months down the line I'm sol?

We check each pack before shipping to make sure it's free from defects. If the pack will have an issue it will be in the first few charges. If you have a pack die after 6 months it's due to a few things. One could be the way it was used or treated or it simply has expired due to normal use.

We're selling packs at discounted prices and I feel we sell the very best packs for the prices. If you are the kind of customer who expects packs to be fully warrantied then buy from Venom , Traxxas , Maxxamps and others who sell at much higher prices but offer better warranties. In the end you get what you pay for and there is no way for us to sell at discount prices and offer crazy warranties.

Danny has a excellent reputation going all the way back to the ni-cd days. A lot of people buy his products on that reputation, and haven't been disappointed. If you want to win at bench racing, buy elsewhere. If you want performance at great prices, try SMC.

Bench racing? Really? I asked a simple question and get a smart ass answer from you. Do you work for smc? I appreciate Danny's honest answer. Not yours.

Default I could not wait...

I almost talked myself into waiting another month for the race formula but decided to get a Factory Spec 7.4V 6500mAh 60C Traxxas for the moment then I'll get 1 or 2 of the race spec when they become available.

These batteries are getting a lot of good press all over and I can't wait to test it. My Venom and Traxxas units are both sitting on the bench all puffed up.

Does anyone know if they plan on having more options for their 3 cells? Would like a higher capacity and C rating.

Yes we plan on releasing some 3 cells with higher mAh. Trying to figure out what cells will fit inside the 3S case.
