A high quantity shipper like Amain can negotiate shipping deals with the carriers, while a relatively small outfit like SMC doesn't have that leverage.

That's definitely true, but some of the shipping cost is still factored into A-Main's prices.

A while back I was buying some Tekno Traktion drive springs (like clutch springs, you know how much they weigh).

I found one of the spring rates was on close-out. When I added it to my cart the $1.99 shipping option went away. It wasn't a matter of weight because if I took away one of the non-close-out spring sets I didn't get the $1.99 shipping back. I called to ask why as was told whether items are $1.99 eligible depends on how much they are making on them.

You're also getting the same battery for 1/3 of the cost

Default Info

I own primarily SMC batteries and have only had to retire 1 of 6 batteries in 3 years time. I have spent a fair amount of time on the phone with SMC and recommend that if you have questions, look at their site and call them to clarify your information. Every battery I have has been shipped at 3.81 to 3.83 volts per cell as well as that voltage written on the packaging. That's where I store mine.

Danny,

Any idea when you might have the 3S "Factory Spec 11.1V 7200mAh 60C Traxxas" back in stock???

Thanks!

Most places ship USPS for the cheap or free shipping.
I live in nowhere Florida, stuff normally takes 5 days to me...3 day for $8 bucks= fair deal

and should the vendors box and ship for a loss??

had 2 batteries 138х45х45, 7200 mAh, claimed and more 6600 was never charged, had a battery short pack, and claimed it was 4600, but more 4100 did not take in charging, I think this is wrong and almost a fraud, such a good company and so should not be done. the battery itself is not bad, but Turnigy battery is much better, especially A-spec G2

What charger did you use? What voltage did you discharge and charge to?

I use I-charger 306DUO, a charge current of 1-2C until 4.2 volt, cutoff at 3.3-3.4 volts

Discharge to 3.1v/cell then recharge, I'm pretty sure they'll be within 50 of the rated capacity. Mine have always been.

Danny does not post here anymore. Best way to contact him is either on facebook or use the contact us feature on the website.

I read an article on Facebook from Danny, and he told me that the discharge should not do below 3.2 volts, it's useless

Correct me if I am wrong but aren't lipo batteries never to be discharged below 80% of capacity. For a 7200 mAh pack you should not expect to put back more than 5760mAh. You may have already damaged your pack. For the 4600, 3680 mAh is 80%.
