I've gone through 3 Turnigy packs this year. They aren't up to the task of 8th scale racing. I should have bought these sooner. Had SMC 2s packs a while back and they were great. No doubt these 4s will be the same.

First run with them yesterday. Wow is all I can say. So much more punch, I had to battle with wheelspin for the first time. My throttle didn't feel like a sponge. lol. Also did 10 minute finals with very little power drop.

Any idea when the 100c shorty's will be in stock? I've messaged Danny through facebook with no response. Over 2 months without any indication as to when these will ship.

An update would be appreciated.

On the sebsite it says Late November - Early December, so hopefully soon.

And I was thinking it was me. I think I maintain my batteries pretty well. My LVC is set pretty high. I always balance charge, then storage mode before I put them away for the week. I'm not running anything crazy. 2wd buggy, 120 amp esc with a 8.5t motor. No timing, no boost. And almost all (8) of them have a slight puff to them.

I ordered two 5600 SMC saddle packs tonight. Hopefully these will be much better.

Danny told me via e-mail last night that he should have them by the middle of next week.

Just got shipment notification of my SMC 100C shorty.

SMC seems to be one of those "hidden gem" brands these days. Is it me, or do they not really advertise as much as other brands? Their product is excellent, but they seem to be a little obscure. I'm glad I remember them from several years ago. I just ordered some 3S 5Ah packs for my 1/8th buggy (small track). I was amazed at how low their prices are.
