[QUOTE=Wildcat1971;13780797]30% off the retail price, not the sales price you paid. be aware of that stipulation[/QUOTE

^^^^^HE IS RIGHT^^^^^^

It is 30% off the regular sale price. Meaning the "x'ed" out.
That being said Danny will work out the best deal he can for your warranty packs.

It is always best to contact Danny directly either on facebook https://www.facebook.com/smcracing
or via the contact us link on his web site.

And all that being said, Ask how many people have had issues with SMC batteries, and how did SMC treat them when they did? Answers is gonna be very few and very well. I've only bought a few batteries and had no issues, but going back thru posts where someone did have a concern, I get the impression they were handle real well.
There is a newer company out selling shorty packs with higher mah rating for the same money and an extended warranty. I will be getting my extreme pack from SMC thank you cause they kick butt and dont give me grief.

^^^^^WRONG^^^^^^

It is 30% off the regular sale price. Meaning if you buy a pack that is on clearance for $20 and he usually has it listed for $40 you get 30% off the $40 not the $20, His regular sale price is the one listed on his site not the one "x'ed" out.

Talks I had with Danny have always been good, very helpful and comes across to me as an honest individual.

The warranty thing is just something I value when I buy new packs, relative to cost of course. But it does have to be tied in with the reputation of the company in how they treat you.

so its a balancing act there for me on what is being offered, price, and support level that can be expected.

Heck if he offered say the option to pay additional for an extended warranty, i'd be up for that.

i use danny's packs exclusively..no sponsorships, i buy them because they are quality packs, and the price is the best out there...

am running the same 2 shortys, and 2 full stick packs i bought over 2 years ago..i use the packs in everything from mod-stock offroad, to mod-13.5 dirt oval...the ir is low, and the packs continue to preform...

any questions ave always been answered with satisfaction in a very expedient manner.

I use that pack in my SCTE buggy lite with a Tekin Pro4 HD 4300 and it works awesome. I can get at least 10 minutes no problem. When practicing I set my timer to 8 minutes. I don't like to run my packs down below storage voltage. After about 8 minutes I can pull it out and it's ready to store.

No, you can still get them USPS, but need to special request that.

Great battery. Sadly the 70C packs are gone. I run the 6000 80C now, and get about the same amount of runtime.

looking to make 8 min minimum here, been toying with some 6500s instead.

I'll give him a holler and see what is up for stuff there and compare.

Been spoiled with inboard packs so not fond of prewires other than 1/8 electric which I have one now that is a 5 mm one too.

I have heard that SMCs have issues with using some 4mm plugs, is that still a prob or is it a non issue?

See quite a few come thru our local track ( all types an sizes) and only one issue I can remember that was a couple months ago. And that's because he dropped it off the table and it landed right on the corner where the bullet was. But the guy split the cases and resoldered it. A little tape job and I believe he was running it this past weekend.

But there are always chances. Only problem with mass production I can see. But Im sure if you get one that craps out within a month or 2, SMC will take care of you as most manufactures would/should.

I can get 8 minutes no problem with 6500. Only issue I've came across with the 4 mm plugs is that some 4mm bullets are a little to big and will not push in. It's only certain brands of bullets. I use the bullets from Hobbyking and don't have issues with them.

thanks for the info. Pretty much have tQ Racing bullets here, hopefully those aren't an issue as they seem fine with my other batteries.

Quick response from Danny, nice and thorough as I have seen in the past.
