just got a couple of them. They perform fine and similar to other 70-100C batteries (Revtech and Trinity Titanium).

We're releasing a 4S-4600mAh-70C hardcase short pack for racers who want to adjust weight distribution or save weight. This pack uses the same low IR cells used in our 4670-2S2P short case 2S pack.

This new pack is expected to be in stock on the second week of September. We will submit it to ROAR is sales are strong as the new ROAR Lipo approvals make it a bit more expensive to get new models approved.

So I just bought 2 7.4 6500 inboards and 2 14.8 6500 three of them performed great tonight however one of the 2 cells 5minutes in the negative side melted nearly through the case I have not changed anything on the electronics for months and ran the next race with one of my other batteries with no issue I am thinking that possibly there was an internal issue on the ground side just curious what I need to do or if anything will be done as this battery is now just a paper weight

Contact Danny http://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?route=information/contact

He will probably ask you to send in the bad pack to inspect.

I like the idea of the smaller packs but I will order another 5100 4s Tuesday and more of the ec5 connectors. I will be waiting for this new 4s lipo!!!!!

RavensNightFury 08-24-2013 04:18 AM

whats the 5100 4s like
to the 6500 4s what run time do you get out the 5100s

ArmySSG 08-24-2013 05:09 AM

I so want to get an E-Buggy or Truggy so I can experience the 4S lol.. Until then I need to order the 7200 2S from SMC, I'm impressed with the 6500 but I'm timid on the trigger.. Now that I've up'd the current on my RX8 GEN2 from 35 to 60 things may get a little different :) ..

Inboard bullet plug packs? Or ones with the deans or traxxas connector?
If inboard, did you install fresh solid bullets plugs? Or your using months old plugs?

Just asking so you don't melt the case on the other pack.
