I doubt it, the word is out which means word of mouth is where his business is coming from, yes the rctech forums have helped launch the word of mouth sales but these packs are everywhere now. As long as we keep the word out he sales will continue to rise.
This is not the first time Danny and RCtech have been at odds, but it will be the last.

That's just wrong. Rctech must have been squeezing him for money. They pushed out one of the most informative people about one of the most mysterious products (lipo).
Wouldn't think Danny would be offensive to someone but looked at his recent posts and as I thought, nothing said that should cause a ban. Unless mods deleted it... but I doubt there was anything to delete.

This place is clearly about money...I got a slap on the wrist because I asked someone if they were a forum sponsor in a thread...I did it nicely. They reported me and I got an infraction for insulting them...turns out they were in fact a sponsor. :sneaky:

Danny will be missed on here but I will still buy all of my lipos from them moving forward.

Markcuda 08-21-2013 02:23 PM

I bet Danny was making tons of money, and RCtech wanted more
of the pie.

Ha ha! I just subscribed to the rc groups thread, my join date is 02/2010 and I have one post... today's post. I guess they will be getting a little more page views from me

Jstall7543 08-21-2013 02:51 PM

Well that sucks...

Jstall7543 08-21-2013 02:51 PM

Un-subscribed...

Yep, this is NOT good for Rctech. Danny was very helpful and participated often. THAT is what makes a good forum. I will continue to purchase batteries through SMC and recommend them to others. MY SMC packs kick butt. They are the best packs available and at great prices.

SMC drivers should be able to help out on here, so ask away..

To the best of my knowledge there are no SMC drivers per say. I would suggest going to his facebook page, he is also on another forum, anyone that needs a link can PM me or look though the posts above, I'm not going to post the link here but I will give it to anyone that asks.

mydudrevo 08-21-2013 04:48 PM

Haha he is an smc driver lol

Beaker151 08-21-2013 05:07 PM

What bring it on was stating is that the guys who are sponsored by smc will be around to help out if people need it. But if you want to stay on top of the latest and greatest then facebook and rcgroups is where you need to go.

This type of news is usually not a good thing for either party. I don't know the details since I don't have facebook but these are just some of the things that happen in this industry.

DarthRacer 08-21-2013 06:23 PM

This is a shame.
You can easily find him in the vendors section on rcgroups if you want to keep discussing the packs directly with 'the man'.

mydudrevo 08-21-2013 07:02 PM

I love my smc packs and will continue to buy all my batts from them. Best batteries and an even better price

Danny encourages stock racers to use 4600-70C pack for the very reason you state. I have one and it is quite impressive. Performs better than my Protek full size 2s used to.

These batteries can be charged at 2-3C with little issue. Higher than that can be done but you won't get a complete charge.

No break-in necessary. Charge it and go.

Recommended storage voltage is 3.6-3.8 V per cell. That info is listed in the instructions that come with the pack.

+1 They don't seem to fade during a 6 minute qualifier/race either.

Hmm? I've been driving for Danny for over a year now, so has some of my team mates! Danny brings the best products on earth to the R/C industry...Why would RCTech ban him??? MON$Y!!! I encourage the team drivers, fans, and racers to like the FB page and continue to post on the RC Groups forum. :tire: :tire: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...light=smc+race
