What I don't understand is the race length in this class. They should cut that down some and things would be allot easier on the equipment.

Will let you know, I'm curious too... why I bought. Reedy can put out 422a and yours will give 502a... by the numbers at least. Thought the added discharge capability may do the trick.

I had double the time needed when driving the AE truck, my choice to add almost a lb to the chassis I'm now running compared to the norm.

Every year though limits get pushed further and further, nature of the beast when we all want to be the fastest :tire:

C rates are all false. They are just used as marketing.

Check out this thread I did on testing various brands this should be an eye opener.

hopefully not including your own C ratings as well :D Jk

This is why we now sell everything under the Factory Spec line. We use what the factories give to us for specs and also test for IR to make sure a 70C is better than a 60C or 50C and so on. Tried my best to use a real standard but no one would buy the packs. When you have speed control companies claiming you need 40 or 50C packs to run their systems then using real C rate standards isn't possible.

That's why I said by the numbers. Only going off what's plastered on the face of the lipo :D

Hope to find that your higher mah and higher discharge rate has more seat of the pants punch than the reedy regardless of what the stickers on the lipo's say.

Looking forward to your impressions. I know the 7200s have a bit lower IR on the ESR meter and the voltage curve is slightly higher.

The REEDY pack is a very good pack with low IR.

Will definitely give my seat of the pants (butt dyno) results

Thanx!

this is the kinda stuff that makes me want to do business with danny. no need to slam another company when they put out a good product. i think what danny is saying is that yeah, the reedy is good, but ours is just as good if not better for much cheaper. too many companys take the first chance they get to slam others. no need for that. put out a good product at a good price, and you'll sell a bunch.

btw, just got two more 6500/70C's today. thanks for clearing up that shipping snafu. packs arrived on time.

I wish I could really say everything I know about the battery market but many would be shocked. I know which one of our competitors buy the packs from the best factories and if the packs they sell are good I say it. In the end there is plenty of market for everyone and not everyone will ever buy from SMC even though I would like this allot. lol

I believe in doing honest business and trying to sell the best products I can. Recently we made the change to only sell direct as there just is to much BS in the battery market and we had to adapt or get out of it. I believe direct sales allows us many advantages. 1) Better pricing for our customers on the same high end packs. 2) Inventory control so we make sure packs are fresh and not sitting in some warehouse for a 1 year and then a shop shelf for another year or two. 3) Easier to release new models and adapt to what our customers want and need.

Glad to hear you got your packs. Now I need to make sure your house number is changed in our UPS system.
