Default Airtronics Question.

I bought a used mx-3x many months ago. It replaced the rtr radio from my sc10 rs. It works fine but after I bought it I found out it had been repaired/abused(owner threw it across a track). The spring inside is not equal both directions. At the left full lock it seems to flex weird and tries to stick in full lock. no big deal for the most part. 2 months ago the radio fell off the pit table and broke the wheel off flush, I glued it and it works but just scared it will fail at any moment. Now the question. Should I get another mx-3x or should I just go with a mx-sport? What is the difference between the two? I have 3 receivers for the mx-3x, will they work with the mx sport? I only run stock SC and mod ST when there is a class for the ST and a vrc adapter. Thanks for any input.

mx3x is fhss 3 and fhss 2
mx sport is fhss 2
if the prior owner bought mx3x with a fhss 3 then you will have atleast 1 receiver that you wont be able to use if you get the sport
look at the receivers and see if you can see the fhss 3 on any of them. if so you need another mx3x

I have MXsports, a MX3fg, & MT4.
The MXsport is ok but does feel different.
If you are worried & do race an MT4 is a great investment.

MT4 will do FHSS-2 on up.
you may be able to get a hold of just the shaft, or send it in to Air...

FWIW there's a vendor support forum on RCUniverse and Airtronics have a presence there; you could ask them directly about parts if you were interested...

Thanks for the info all. I contacted them thru their website. They offer repair service for the parts and recalibration of the radio. Looks like I am going with a new mx-3x and send the old one in for a refurb.
