so i was hooking up my castle BEC up to my new castle mmp and i forgot to remove the red wire from the esc lead. i noticed it when the on/off switch didnt matter.
i didnt have it on like that for long, maybe 20-40 seconds. do you think i did any damage ? it seems to be working fine.
thanks

I usually use a very short aileron extension with the positive lead disconnected so I don't weaken the ESC's RX plug's lead (that way I don't have to power up the ESCs when programing them with the PC).

well i powered it up on the bench with out the BEC and it worked till i moved the servo and it started browning out.(spektrum 6030 servo). i put a glitch buster in and it worked fine.
so i dont know...i put the bec back in and it works.so..

That sounds normal with Castle speedos and Savox/Spektrum servos.

i have that servo in a sc10 4x4... i tested the truck on the bench today with out the castle external bec along with a budget kit servo and it didnt have any issues. so im thinking the bec in the esc is fine. regardless iam running the castle bec as the 6030 just likes to pull some amps.
