There are hobby shops that have direct accounts with the likes of TSR, Motiv, R1, etc, and are able to get multiple quantities of motors for retail resale.

they are just so popular right now, that they are often sold out.

I'm not even sure if any retail outlets sell TSR motors. I was lead to believe that they had to be ordered directly from them, same as R1 and a few others. I could be wrong.

I've seen R1 at quite a few retailers. Never seen a TSR though.

Anybody try the new Flow X is Spec racing?

Recently acquired a new lrp flow works esc, upgraded to v5.4 firmware

Running a 24k motor that's relatively new. I've set it to max initial drive and my epa throttle /brake is at 135%

While doing full throttle runs inn the street, 1 in 5 or so runs on throttle, mid way, the car will cut out and then come back on if throttle is lifted slightly. Also under braking it may stutter

Reset calibration. Same thing. Turned epa for throttle to 100%, no issues. Tried it with another battery of the same brand and of a different brand while it was 135% epa and still the same result. Sensor cable is new

Any ideas

Update

Downgraded to v4.7 mod firmware. 135% epa seems okay with my testing, 6 seconds full throttle, off and again. Will test tomorrow with braking as it would stutter with the v5.4 /135% brake EPA

The problem is the 135% throttle. the esc detects a overflow of the throttle and cuts out.

Ok, hopefully lrps initial drive can make up for this :)

That's a real shame. My old hw v2.1 had no issues with this and being an esc that's over half the cost of the flow works

Why you are setting the throttle to 135%?
The only thing you are archiv with this setting is that you reach full throttle on the esc before you hit the max throttle on the radio. You can make a similar setting on the radio. like exponential setting to liniar and move the full throttle output to the desired point. In this case you get the same result.

I think you're referring to the arc level if it's a sanwa. Great. I'll experiment with this

Yes that's what I meant. This function is called differently by every manufacturer.

issue with LRP flow work team esc

When I turn it on, the RED BLUE YELLOW lights blink continuously. (Not green light)
I pressed the set & mode button, no response.
Also I found that the esc got very hot.

What could be the issue here?

This indicates an issue with the sensor cable was detected. try an orher cable or sensor board.

I had the same exact lights flashing. I unplugged my sensor cable reversed it and now it works fine. I know that reversing it shouldnt make a difference but it did.

Try a new wire.

Any race at Tacoma that can help me download ans flash me ESC? I dont want to buy the usb adapter and run windows 10 so....

clayrace24 03-01-2017 04:28 PM

Setting up a used Flow Comp that I bought and I can't get any braking action. I am running 2S with a 10.5 motor. The car accelerates fine but has no brakes. I set my values to 0 before setup, the blue light is blinking after setup is complete, I assume in Blinky mode. I can put in enough brake trim to have the drag brake kick in when I let off the power, but the drag brake doesn't get gradually stronger with each click, it goes from no drag brake after 5 or 6 clicks trim to slamming on the brakes with an additional click of trim. Any ideas?

If it's plugged in backwards, reversing it will make a difference
