If it's plugged in backwards, reversing it will make a difference
The reversing will fry the sensor board with a high chance. |
Just updated my Flow Comp with V5.4 stock firmware, did initial setup, but motor will not run. Thinking maybe corrupted software I downloaded a new one, but no joy.
Ideas anyone? |
You have to do a Factory reset.
hold the set button while switching the ESC on. What is the LED indication? Are cables connected correctly? |
Thank you, factory reset did the trick. I thought I only needed to do radio calibration.

Ok, I am not happy at the moment.
When the FlowX became available, I bought two, one for my Touring, one for my Offroad. I was expecting LRP to do the same thing, to allow diff software to run on the same hardware for different purpose (onroad, offroad). However now LRP announces that they will come out with a completely diff model off road, changing their previous approach. Why would they do that? Since when did ESC hardware become so specific? As far as I can tell the only diff is that the wiring is longer in the offroad version... seriously? |

The only hardware difference is the length of the servo and the supplyed sensor cable. The software can be loaded to any hardware version. We only have to wait until the adaptor comes out.

That would be excellent news. May I ask where you obtained the info? LRP has to be one of the companies with the worst communication.
The answer from LRP was that a new USB connector will come out and that the different Firmwares can be loaded to the FlowX. BTW the communication problem only persists here in the US. I don't know why, but I hope that is getting better after AKA is the new US distributor. |
Thanks Siden.
But allowing diff firmware to be loaded does not make the FlowX 'optimized' for both touring and offroad. They can release just touring firmware for the FlowX TC if they decide to The fact that FlowX Offroad and TC are two different SKUs are worrking. and btw, no, I am from HK, communication is just as bad. |

I haven't received it. Further, I have received no communications from LRP regarding it. I suppose they could have sent it to the wrong person, but I can't imagine who that might be; the ROAR application form hasn't changed in several years, and that's still my address at the bottom of the form:
http://www.roarracing.com/downloads/...R_ESC_FORM.pdf Any updates on the ROAR approval for the Flow X ?? |
