Default signs of a bad receiver???

Ok... Installed a new steering servo (Savox 1256) into my rc8b along with a new sr300 receiver and bound to a dx3s. Well all seemed well with testing off the box but when I got on the track I was intermittently losing control of both steering and throttle... I just went out and bought a new switch and 5 cell flat pack (to replace the 4 AAs pack - I thought this might be the issue??). Installed the new switch and pack and seemed to be getting the same problems.... I was testing with the car less than a foot away from the transmitter.. Any thoughts???

If you haven't already, re bind the radio and receiver. Also check that the servo connects are not shorting against any receiver pins. I had a similar issue with a ko radio and had to re calibrate radio but try binding again

thanks. Ill try rebinding. Everything is squashed in really tight within my battery box. Could this cause problems?

havent had very good luck with the sr300 its a dsm1, replaced mine with a sr3100 (dsm2) and added a cap problem solved. i found out the savox is a very power hungry servo.
