ok thanks! wow! 24 hours. i always charged it for like 2-4 hours, lol. well the 4100 was pretty dead and i plugged it in at 2:30p.m. today. so i will let it charge until 2:30 tomorrow. now lets say its fully charged and i use it for a few times like total 5-10 minutes. how long should i charge it for if i only use it a little bit?

You would have to determine the time based on the amp draw over said 2-4 hours.
In theory lets say for simplicity reasons your ignitor pulled 170 mah an hour for 4 hours. You would have to replace that with 170 mah X 4, so 4 hours at 170mah back into the pack.
Now these are just numbers and I have not figured in voltage drop that ninms and nicads lose just sitting and over time with storage loss. I don't have the figures for that. LOL
To be honest I have a charger that for $45 bucks that will charge everything, lipo, liFe, Nicad, nihms, everything basically, and it came with all the plugs to charge those batteries including the ignitor plug. All you do is set the current and charge, it figures out when the battery is fully charged.

Its the best investment I have made for my batteries to assure I dont have a failure.

i think after i charge these 2 batteries for 24 and 12 hours, i usually charge them for like a hour after a few day or a week of just sitting just to keep them charged up. when i use the igniter, most the time im only using it a few times or no more than 10 minutes at a time of running.
