I have several questions. I just got a used evx2 from the forum to drop into my son's 3906. The pics looked decent (from what I could see) and the price was right. The problem today when I got it there is a burnt looking mark in one of the clear plastic covers that connect the esc to the motors. After inspection the connector is not corroded, but the plastic sheath definitely got hot at some point. First question, should I be concerned with this and possibly re-solder another connector on? Upon further investigation it looks like the previous user might have wired the motors up wrong. The reason I think that is that the inner two wires (2 and 3) that come from the esc that are meant to go to motors are zip tied together. The wiring diagram shows wire 1 and 3 go together and 2 and 4 go together. Second question is, if it was hooked up incorrectly by the previous owner, will it still work or do you think it's shorted out? I'm at work and have won't have a chance to try it out until much later in the evening. Just looking for advice/opinions.

After testing it out this evening the evx2 still works. So apparently you can hook up the motors incorrectly and it will still work.
