Default Tekin RS Pro

Hi, just bought a Tekin RS PRO Brushless ESC/Redline 2,5 Brushless Motor and I have problems with the ESC, it get really hot I burn already the capacitor that comes with the ESC In less than a minute on use it burn it, I have a XXX-SCT with a DX3S radio with the SR300 receiver and S6040 servo, Can someone can help me in find out what the problem is? Thanks

I believe the problem is using a 2.5 in a short course truck. That is just pure overkill.

A 6.5 or higher like a 7.5 would be a better choice and then I would use two capacitors on the ESC to help keep it cool.

Agreed, a 2.5T motor is used ONLY for ultra lightweight vehicles, and then only for short speed runs while allowing everything to cool. For the SCT, the 7.5 or 8.5 may be enough, but I would recommend a 10.5 being the hottest sensored 540 you should use. Ideally you should be using a 4-pole or 550 size motor in my opinion.
