Default Savox and Spektrum issues

I am beginning to think that my glitch issues are related to my savox high voltage servos I am using for throttle. I've read about using a glitch buster, but my thoughts is I am running an unregulated lipo pack, so that should be plenty of voltage and amps for the servo right?? My rx box is tight enough with out cramming a capacitor in there... has any one else had this issue??

Recently my friend was having issues with his RC8Be. He has a Savox steering servo and a Spektrum reviever. Without using a glitchbuster his car was undriveable, kept loosing the reciever signal. With the glitchbuster it works perfect.

me and my buddy both run savox and spektrum together and have never had a problem. i do not have the HV servos though. did you try a diff servo, receiver or switch. I had a problem my switch I guess was going bad and caused my throttle servo to go crazy sometimes.

Have been running Savox Hv with lipo and spektrum for ages now with no issues but the glitch buster could be worth a try..I dont use a switch either.

Doesn't the receiver regulate the voltage going to the servos or is it just a straight pass-thru connection?

A glitchbuster is a capasitor?

I think you have to check the wires or the battery. Adding a capisitor as a solution gives me the idea there is a voltage drop,

Using a capacitor will help regulate constant voltage to the electronics. With some basic soldering skills & a capacitor, it's worth a try. Cheap solution.

The switch in the car is brand new... wouldn't a switch either work or not work??? Why would switch cause it to glitch?

Savox servos are very demanding on power. You need to put a cap/ glitch buster on your rx. It will eliminate you problem.
What is happening, is when your servo is used it sucks the power from the Rx at suck a high rate it will lose its bind to the Tx for a fraction of a second causing you glitch. Its not enough to completly shut the system down, but it will play havoc with you.
Get one of the Spektrum one for like 5 bucks and plug it into an emtey slot on your Rx. If you dont have an empty slot, you will need to solder it in. I would recomend putting it on the switch harness that plugs into your Rx. Dont put it on the battery or before the switch as it can charge up and zap you. Also dont put it on a servo wire. Hope you get it working.

Are you by chance running the Losi 2000 lipo? It is internally regulated and will cause issues when running HV servos.

Yes I am running the losi lipo. And are you sure its regulated, because They sell a separate regulator for it. And my voltage at the rx says 8.4 volts

Dont bother with a silly cap, its a bandaid

Fix the issue correctly by using an external bec

Straight to your receiver if it can take 8.4v

If it cant then wire it directly to your servo

Cheers
