Angry Spectrum RX woes

Has anyone experienced any faulty SR3300T rx's? I've had three so far go dead or won't bind after use.
The first one worked fine for three weeks, but when I got home and started to make some adjustments, I turned the rx on and there was response from the car. I tried to rebind and the rx would just continue to flash fast and not bind.
I sent that one back to Amain hobbies and that one worked for two weeks. I sent that back, got another and after about 45 minutes of use I packed up and went home. I get home and unpack and the new rx won't bind. I'm getting very frustrated with this. I am running an unregulated LiPo, but the rx is supposed to handle 12 volts and I am using high volt servos.
Is this Spectrum Voltage Protector
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...tage-Protector
something that would help? And why?
Thank You
Brian

Uh, Spektrum rates the SR3300T at 9.6V on the high end.

Oops, you are right, I thought I saw 12 volt a while ago.
Thanks

Not familiar with the 3300T, but some other Spektrum models ‘flash fast’ and won’t work or bind when the power source is plugged in backwards.

Glitch buster style cap wont help if you are having bind issues

Its used to help with bec related (high servo load) problems

What ESC are you using ?

Does the receiver brownout (lose connectivity) when you load up the servo ?

Cheers

Sorry Guys, I should have said that it's a nitro car. I'm not sure that it is a bind issue. They seem to be fine while I'm running, it's just after I get home, I get no response from the car, so I try to re-bind and just get the fast flash.
I have done nothing but put it in the bag bring it home and I've run into this three times now. I'm thinking I want another brand of radio!
I was thinking that maybe the high volt servo's are drawing to much current for the rx (even tho it's rated at 9.6 volts, I'm not sure about amps)and that the Spectrum Voltage Protector might help. For the price I think it's worth a try.
Amain said if this one fails, I have to deal with Horizon. I don't want to wait for them to deal with this.
I've spent soooo much money already, I know it's the nature of the hobby, but I can't spend for another radio for a while.
Doesn't sound like anyone else has had similar problems. I thought I saw a post about Spectrum rx and Savox servos pulling to much power. The funny thing is that the last time it happened I was using a Hi-tech servo for steering. I don't see any brown out problems, they work fine when I'm running that day.
I'm really at a loss about what to try next!
Thanks
Brian

Heck yeah. Those Savox servos are real power hogs. I have three of them and put the Spektrum cap on each receiver which solved the problem. I first noticed this running 2wd buggy mod and whenever I was exiting a turn I would lose power, it was from the servo pulling high amps causing the receiver to brown out. I put in the cap and haven't had a problem yet.

Do you need the Telemetry ?

The 3300T RX has been plagued with issues that other RX in the Spekky range dont seem to have

Cheers

Well, I like the telemetry to monitor the LiPo voltage. What rx would you recommend? I'm willing to try anything at this point. I'm gonna order a pair of those caps and see if it happens again.
Thanks
Brian

Are the Hi-tech 9554's high draw also, because the last time, I was using those and not the Savox?

We've had similar issues at our local track. The servos are drawing too much for some of the speky recievers. We think its because the spektrum recievers need a higher operating voltage or current and the servos cause too much of a power drop. The same servos plugged into a futaba system does not cause the issues.

Adding a cap 99% of the time eliminates the issue.

I have been running Spek receivers with Savox (Orion) servos for almost two years (in nitro cars) and not had those issues. I have run Spektrum radios and receivers for about 4 years, but not with the Orion servos. Prior to the Orion servos I have used every Spek receiver except the SR3100 and 3300. I have run Nimh, Lipo (regulated) and now Life (unregulated). Since going to the Orion servos the only receiver I have used is the SR3520 receiver.

I AM using the SR3300T rx.

crash test dumy: I've only run the 3001's and have run 6.6 lifo, and a 7.4 lipo. I have a Tmaxx and a 4tec, and had a truggy,8T till it got electrified, I don't have trouble, but you won't like the FASST i had before in my 3PK. the rec overheated and the failsafe never set. Off she went at full throttle. when the thing came back up, it was 1/4 mile away idleing. I have had 2 issues with that and went back to the pro spektrum module. Would guess your overheating them at that voltage, but don't know. I really like my lifo rec batt, small and powerful

OK, I ordered the caps, but they won't be here before the weekend racing.
And I don't want to take a chance on burning out any more rx's.
So, I'm gonna check the electronics store tomorrow for some 4700 microfarad caps and make my own for the weekend.
Cheers
