max you should put on the rx is 7.4 volts no more then that and do not put any power to the temp, rpm, lap port of the rx as it can only see 5 volts or you will blow a cap in the rx and it will not bind to your radio it will just sit there and flash all the time when you try

If the rx is rated at 9.6 volts, why would the max be 7.4? Are their ratings inflated? Any idea what voltage rating I should get for the cap?
Thanks

Thumbs up

Well, I was only able to get about 3 tanks through the buggy and 1 tank through the truggy because of the weather. I made the voltage regulators and installed. Packed up, went home, un-packed and the rx's still worked!!
So, I hope this solves the problem. Had to mount the caps to the transponder screw hole. When I get the battery forward mod, I'll be able to put them in the battery box.
I'll keep my fingers crossed and see if the rx's survive the next weekend!
Thanks All
Brian

Thumbs down

Well, it happened again!! The truggy rx would not respond when I got home. No light at all on the rx when I turned it on. Tried to bind and just get the fast flash.
And I only ran two tanks thru it.

Amain said to call Horizon, Horizon said they would send me another.
I wonder if this is a bad batch or what. I hope the one from Horizon is from a different batch!
I think I need a better radio, what do you guys recommend me to start looking at? What radios have the fastest response? I've noticed a bit of delay sometimes with this DX2S.
I'd like something faster. But I can't really spend a ton, I wish I could, the only things I'd like to have are, faster response and ability to monitor the LiPo voltage.
Thank You
Brian
