Default lrp ai pro reverse digital esc question

is there a way i can add an on off switch. i dont like how i have to unplug the battery to shut if off. is it possible to unsolder the red wire going to the receiver and soldering the switch to the board there and than connecting the other wire of the switch to the red wire? i would like to have this work but want opinions on if this is the proper way and going this route i would keep it looking like the switch was ment to be and concealed inside the box still and not just cut and spliced outside it. im picky, lol
