Questions?? EVX ESC & 2S Lipo

Just curious to see if anybody has run lipos on an old school e-maxx with the original EVX ESC and what the outcome was. Did it over heat, burnout, work fine???
I know I'd have to incorporate a low voltage sensory unit.
Any feedback is appreciated.

We run ours with 2s lipos with no problems. The esc says 14.4v but it's well documented that it can handle 16.8v.

You're welcome. If you're interested in adding a couple old skool emaxx's to your fleet lmk as I've got a couple to sell.

My 3906 runs the orig red EVX and have run pair of 2S lipos with no trouble. I either run twin 7 cell NiMh packs of pair of 5000mah 2S lipos. I use a fan on the esc.

The 7 cell packs actually have higher voltage than 2S lipos initially - 9.8 - 9.9v, so that's 19.6v+ and mine has never had an issue running with it.
