Questions?? Novak550 Ballistic sensor wire problems

I have Sc10 4x / RX8 / 550Ballistic 5.5t....

I wanted to switch to a shorter sensor wire, for a cleaner set up. I have the Brand New Novak 4inch sensor wire to replace the 6inch.

????
How do I remove Sensor Wire from the Novak Motor??? I started to try and now I ripped the little rubber plug/protector. It's not ripped off totally, but i don't want to go any further. The wire won't come out???
-Do I have to unscrew anything, because the end of the wire is tucked under a little lip at the end of the outside of the motor. It should slip by the lip, but I don't want to break anything or ruin the rubber protector......

HELP!!!

p.s. also...
Can I replace that little rubber protector/plug????

I hope this is correct Forum section..

You have to remove the rear motor cover plate then the wire will unplug.

my sensor plug gets caught in the rubber protector as well. I just backed off the timing screws a bit to get it out easier.
