Default servo connector housing problem

i wanna change my chewed up connectors housings but the couple ones that I tried doesn't quite fit. It seems like the stock connector pins are too long and it doesn't engage the pin locks on the housing so they pull right out. The housing that I got came with pins but I don't always have access to a crimper.

I guess I'm gonna have to scrounge the crimper from work and replace all the pins but it just seems so stupid to me that they have couple types of housings that takes specific type of pins for JR type connectors

(Savox servos, RX8 esc)
