Default Something Doesnt Seem Right

Im running a Novak Ballistic 6.5t motor, it has the larger sinstered tuning rotor also. Anyways, It seems really difficult to spin by hand (with the pinion gear on), the bearings in the motor are brand new, and the motor is clean. Then when I turn the truck on, and try and run the motor for a few mins (motor not atattched to the car), it seems like it gets hot really quick. The back of the motor got about 130 in just a minute or two, and the rest of the motor stayed around 110-120.

The big thing I notice is that when I apply throttle and let off, the motor does not free spin, it immediatly stops spinning. Seems like the rotor should spin with no throttle applyed for a few seconds after letting off the throttle.

What could be wrong?

Thanks! Yeah I pulled one of the washers out and it spins alot more freely now, I probably should pull on more out if theres supposed to be a little bit of play in the shaft.... Its loose, but theres no play.
