Default Looking for better 2.4

I have a dx3s and the antenna is cracked. My second one. Instead of taking it in I would rather buy a new one altogether. But I want to make sure my receivers are universal and run lipo also. Wouldn't say money isn't an option but don't want to spend a crazy amount. Any advice would be appreciated. Trying to get away from Spektrum radios but I like there new servos.

I'm looking to get more into the sport and I feel like it's time to upgrade with a better radio. I'm ok by spending 400 on something that will make me feel more connected with my cars. I have 4 spektrum receivers and would like to use them along with a lipo hump pack. I heard mixed reviews on futaba and don't know much about airtronics. If I'm going to put this kinda of money into a radio I would just like to get some feed back. Thanx

KO Helios If you want to spend more, KO Eurus

There's plenty of Helios in the FS forum.

Make sure to get one with the KO 2.4ghz system and not one with a Spektrum module. The 407s and 408s 2.4ghz receivers are pricey but I just recently found that KO now has a KR210s receiver that works good enough for sport applications available for about $50 new. Thats better than the price of your average Spektrum receiver.

Once you wheel one you'll notice a world of difference in responsiveness. I also have a Spektrum DX3.0 for my daughter. Even with good servos, there is a tremendous amount of difference between it and the KO.

BTW, which ever radio system you choose, you will have to give up your Spektrum receivers and start all over again. Everyone's 2.4ghz system is proprietary such that you can't mix and match brands 2.4ghz transmitter with another brand's receiver.

Your only going to be able to use those receivers with a Spektrum system. And as far as the lipo you have, your going to have to make sure that the voltage and fit is compatible with whatever radio you get.

I have a DX3R and am not a fan of it, I would take a look at the following:

KO Propo Eurus
Airtronics M11X
Futaba 4PKS

RadioPost - interesting, but I personally know a couple of people that have been having issues with it loosing signal (and there is no failsafe atm).

I was in a simular situation and after much research I decided to go with the Airtronics MT4.. I couldn't be happier! The transmitter has no external antena so your days of breaking one will be no more I picked up my MT4 package on E-Bay for $235 shipped!

I have used Airtronics for years (like 10+) and swear by their stuff. I have an older M11 with a 2.4 module in it. I am looking at a new radio and its either going to be another M11 (M11x) or the MT-4
