Default 17.5 Sensorless Brushless Motor

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a 17.5 Sensorless motor that I can use with either my Stock AE ESC or a MAMBA MAX ESC. Im looking for a cheap solution for getting into the stock class at my local track. Any help would be great.

Sorry should have provided more details. Its going to be for a 1/10 offroad Short Course. The stock ESC is from a RTR brushless SC10.

Check to see if your track allows sensorless motors in spec class, which generally requires ROAR-legal, sensored motors. Only sensored motors are designated by number of winds---such as 17.5T. Our RMF SS Pro motors are a good deal.

Was it the Vortex Pro Stock that you were referring to?

If when you are referring to this 3300 motor, it means that it is rated at 3300kv, this equates to a 13.5 turn motor, according to Novak's brushless motor chart on their website. This would be an illegal motor in a 17.5 spec class. I looked around last year for a 2200kv rated sensorless brushless motor and could not find one, and I became aware that high turn sensored motors, like 17.5, generally exhibit lots of cogging at low speeds with an unsensored esc. I used brushed, untill I finally purchased an sensored esc and motor combo.

Spec motors run sensors.

KV only rated motors are too hard to tech, so they are left out.

I would ask at your track to see if they will let you substitute with something.

vintange10,
How did that motor work out at your track? Did the SC10 guys with the rtr brushless sensorless esc's find that this motor put them on a competitive level with the sensored setups or were they down on power?
