Is it ok to use Stock software with a 6.5T motor?

The mmm 17.5 motor is a very good motor! I was running the Tekin gen 2 17.5 which I believe is one of the best 17.5 motors out there next to the trinity kill shot! And the mmm is handling itself just fine! I run 72 33 spur and pinion with a drive tran ratio of 2.6! Turn the timing to 20 degrees and you will have a rocket on your hands!

Has anyone had the magnet come off of the rotor shaft?

This is 7.5R 3.0 motor I got in a Reventon Pro combo from a popular vendor online.

I told someone who also runs SP offroad and they told me based on the number stamped on the motor, the rotor will be replaced by SP because this was happening for a particular batch.

I have emailed SP North America support but haven't heard back in a while.

Just wondering if anyone else has had to go through this.

We have been using the Stock1 sw with a SP V3 6.5 for several months in 2wd buggy, it woks a charm, just watch your temps and find your gearing.

I do believe however that if you are running on anything else than a high traction track that you are better off using mod1 or mod2 since they are less aggressive.

Had an issue with my ESC blinking red and green after a qualifier. Shut it off and back on and its was fine. I couldn't make it happen without running it on the track. Code was saying it was a sensor communication issue. Tried a new wire and still the same. Car seemed to drive the same. The blaze 2450 was tearing up pinions and only getting 2 race days so I got a plastic spur and it lasted 4:55 lol... So I bought a diff motor, a 1900 that is very popular and wow. Biggest thing I noticed is that just rolling it on the bench it don't cog hard like it did with the blaze. Other was just insanely loud on the track. Car was stupid fast but I couldn't even hear lap times during practice lol. Yes I know how to set mesh... Also I no longer had the red and green warning lights.

So I was looking over the different reventon escs and I am a little confused as to what programmers do what features. I am looking at either an S or an R model and if I want to control the boost features of these escs it looks like the led programmer will not do that and I need the lcd version but if I am spending the extra money I would rather have the blue tooth module but will it do all the same features the lcd version does? Please someone explain what escs are caplable of what and what programmers are needed to allow the escs to do all features.

The high torque is more of a preference more than anything. I ran the torque version of the Tekin gen2 and I feel the mmm has just as good pull as the gen2 motor

this should be useful. The blue tooth or wifi module do have all the features of the setup box. Basiclly a reventon club stock is a esc for stock class without any boost features and you cannot change the firmware. The reventon S is a club stock but you can have boost and change firmware (40A esc). Reventon R is a 70A esc. The the reventon pro 1.1 is a 140A esc.

The GT2.0 Pro is what I would use as the motors are beyond what the LPF would be able to handle from what I recall of the ratings.

DaRen Esquivel Pascua used a GT Pro 2.0 to TQ and Win 4WD SC with his Losi SCTE. Works great.

Need some clarification on led indicator in relation to sensored motors and blinky stock racing.

i have a reventon pro 1.1 running in blinky 17.5, the manual says that if the esc is running on sensor mode, the orange and red light will remain on. if thats the case how would the esc show in blinky mode (red lights blinking)?

What im trying to really figure out is, how can i tell if my motor is running at sensored mode while running blinky?

Yes I have had this happen also to a 5.5 motor. Submitted an RMA on July 23, still don't have it back. I also sent back two reventon pro esc's on Oct21 and my tracking showed out for delivery on Oct 25 but now shows available for pickup. Not sure exactly what the issues are but losing faith. Too bad too because
I really liked the combos for running mod dirt oval.

Just wondering if the speed passion reventon pro will work for school 4x4. Picked up a sct410 with a tekin pro 4 4600 motor. Can the reventon pro handle that on 2s?

I recall issues with the Revention Pros and 4 pole motors, however, it appears that when testing people were trying to boost them which is a no no.

If you want an ESC from Speed passion that can do the job with 4 pole motors based on what people are seeing (and myself too), the GT2.0 Pro does this with ease.

help, reventon pro shutting off while running. i have three of these speedos, two work fine but one keeps shutting off.
any ideas on what it could be? i've ran it inn two different cars but with the same motor(novak ballistic 6.5).

And explain more "it shuts off" How long does it take, and when does it come back on?

I am new tospeed passion to but I would get the speed control, I just got a blue revention pro for 109.00 free shipping and try and get a speed passion motor . I never heard of a yackmotor????

Why not buy from your LHS or US retailer? You will have less issues with support or RMA.


In any case that's a Yeah Racing motor and would work fine if you ran it. I prefer the combos that include a v3.0 Speed Passion motor.

it's somewhere between half the run and the end. it never shuts off in the first few minutes. you have to turn it back on, it doesn't come back on by itself. i've temped the motor and speedo after it finished a full run and nothings getting hot. i'm going to try a different motor but i'm sure it's the speedo, i just thought there might be a software upgrade or something i could do. it may be the built in switch. the cirtix i have will shut down but not off after the battery or temp goes off the chart, but is still on.

Every once in a while I see combo deals from rc mart on xerun 2.1 with speed passion motors or reventon pros with speed passion motors. I'm thinking of getting a combo with an 8.5 motor for a 2wd short course. Any thoughts ?

My preferred combos have been Orion or Tekin escs paired with Tekin or trinity motors. Hence I'm hoping to save some money and am wondering if I'd be giving up anything in anyone's experience.

When this is happening the temp wire in the sensor wire has to be disconnected. With some motors that aren't speed passion motors the temp reading wires don't mix with the temp gauge in the motors so the speedo protects itself after a min or so of running. I have to do this with any motor I run that's not a speed passion.
