Default New board vs old board

Looking for some suggestions....
I have 2 LRP sxx stock spec esc's one of them has the upgraded mod board (just bought it) here is my question I run oval 13.5 open esc and the other is a TC6.1 17.5 blinky. Currently my older esc is in my oval which is open esc and my upgraded esc in in the car that has to be blinky. Should I swap the esc's since oval can be boosted? Is this new board better as far as boost and torque feel options? And what are the benefits of this new board with the mod?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

My guess is no one has had a chance to experiment with the new board as the first batch are just coming back now.
12 weeks and counting here...........
I would say new board esc in boosted, if it was me. Just start gearing and/or boost low as to not blow it up first run.
Blinky isn't harsh on the older board so you wont have BEC issues that some have complained about.
all my esc's were run blinky and I never had a bec issue.

I've had the upgraded board in for maybe 2 months now and it's a lot better. I haven't really played with any boost on it but it's a lot smoother especially under braking.

I have 3 of the new boards for around 2 months now and 1 has had sensor failure on 1s blinky 10.5 ,not a good start.
I ran them first without a booster/rec battery and then with and there is a big difference in the cars performance and would recommend not running without a booster/rec battery.

Default booster or receiver pack

I ran mine for 2 months with a booster or receiver .Changed a week ago and there is a notice able difference in speed and servo speed. I noticed in the majority of my runs handling goes off in last 60 seconds, guess this is because servo gets slower near end of run.

I have a throttle problem that hopefully someone can help me with. When I turn the radio on then the car , the throttle powers the motor briefly. This is not good as the car will take off if it's on the ground. If I turn the car off then back on it doesn't happen again. It happens when I turn both the radio and car off then on again. I'm using a Spektrum DX3R with the SR3520 receiver and Futaba S9551 servo. The speedo is brand new.

I have had a similar issue and found it was my radio and not my esc that was the cause.
I had to constantly reset the calibration each time i used it.
Try that first and if it does not fix your issue try another radio.

Do you mean a different brand radio? Cause I have a brand new DX3R Pro that I was going to put up for sale.
