Better battery cut-off settings. You cannot set it. You only have a choice of 1s, 2s, etc. What voltage per cell is that cutting off? I would like to choose 3.3v, 3.4v. etc.
You can set your own voltage... Just put the slider to the top and you can set for example 14.2V for a 4cell lipo

A numerical throttle and punch control.
What do think the current limiter is?

Power limiter - even a 25%, 50%, 75% option would work.
Change your EPA in the radio if you car is too fast or gear it to the track. Set the current limiter good if you have too much wheelspin

Timing - please explain what is safe? And pros vs cons. Can you damage the motor or ESC with these options?
Read the update PDF of Vegas 208. It's on Tekins website. Don't go above 50 timing. I recommend not more than 33 tho. http://www.teamtekin.com/hotwire/veg...ease-notes.pdf

Something to indicate which ESC I am plugged into (for multiple esc's)
???? Plug no more than 1 ESC in your PC and you're fine

Something to show that the sensor wire is plugged in and all sensors are working. (I know the lights in the esc show that, but I would like to see something in the Hotwire)

Castle has this only in the HV ESC. Not the normal MMM and MM

I am sure there are things I am leaving out, but bottom line a manual that I can hold in my hand and reference is preferred. As mentioned we can't take Randy to the track, and I hate asking noob questions and then waiting and hoping for an answer.

We've already discussed a "per cell" voltage adjustment that the user can set. This would be say 3.2v per cell and this would then be affected by the onboard interface as well. So 4 led's at 3.2v per cell would net = 12.8v,etc,etc

Timing really depends on the setup in question. For the T8 line I've found no reason to go above 50 but have gone all the way to 100 in testing. Some motors respond better to timing, mostly the wye wound motors like the 1900.

I often find gearing to be more of first adjustment rather than timing.

I have written a few "guides" for our tech department and support departments. I'll work on getting them put together into one doc and get the web guys to post it up.

Most of the info you're all looking for is in the update "notes" on the website.

Start rpm: The moment that the extra timing is starting to kick in.
End rpm: The moment that you have the full extra timing that you choose.

For example you set 30% timing and 10k start rpm and 20k end rpm.
0-10k rpm: 0% timing
10k rpm: Timing kicks in
10-20k rpm: Timing keeps increasing until you reached 20k rpm and then you timing will be 30%. So when your motor is spinning at 15k rpm you should have about 15% timing.
20k-max rpm: 30% timing

I hope this clears up a few things.
