mamba max vs mamba max pro

What's the difference between these two, other than the fact that the pro can run sensored? Their website is a bit lacking in info, with FAQ questions like; My truck is too fast now, and all my friends hate me because I'm soo rad.. or equally silly drivel. I can't seem to find any hard technical info like I can on the Novak site. Since they're being clearanced, I'm considering the MM, but want to know for sure what I'm getting.

The Pro also has a sensor port, and can do the dynamic timing advance like other new racing controllers.
It also has an adjustable BEC (which sometimes seem to have a few issues with high-torque current hungry servos), but overall it is a solid controller.
I wouldn't put too much weight into what companies rate their ESC at as far as current handling. A lot of the numbers are way overrrated, much like C-rating on lipo batteries. The Mamba Max Pro is a very solid controller that can handle more than enough current.
One thing that is overlooked most of the time is service and support, and Castle has some of the best in the business. If you ever do fry a controller or run into problems they will be there to help. Not sure how Hobbywing is with service and support, or what you would do for warranty issues?

The Mamba Max is only rated for 3S -

You may get it to arm on 4S by disabling the onboard BEC and using an external, but that's hit or miss based on feedback from people trying it with the newer ones. The older ones were pretty consistent about arming and running 4S with the BEC disabled, that's the way I ran my G2R for a while.

If you want to know programming differences you can go download the castle link software for free and put it in demo mode. Thats what I did to see the difference options in the 2. I went with the pro mainly because of the cheat mode and it being sensored. the max has neither of those options.
