I need to relocate the caps on my VTX10 so I can shove the esc underneath the rear bulkhead on my new RB6. Are there any issues with desoldering the board and hanging it off on a wire? Specifically maximum wire length?

It should be no issue as that is exactly what they did on the BE ESCs with the caps.

Are there any issues with running the BE caps on the regular vtx10? Or better to use the VTX 4x cap set? Wondering if I should upgrade the caps while i'm at it...

On the subjects of caps, I'm at a two day race at the moment and tonight I was running a few practice laps after the race I crashed and broke both caps off my vtx. I didn't touch the throttle after the car was crashed, so I'm sure the esc is okay. I'll have to go to radio shack, what should I replace them with?

And finally, we want to wish our very own Dave Beam good luck as he is getting married this weekend -- congratulations!!!
I feel like an a** though, I just sent him an email with my above problem. |

Is there a post or sheet on the Viper site (that I can't find) that describes all of the ESC settings in detail? My current question is what is Brake PWM? I was reading Dave Beam's ESC setup sheet from pg 200 and the brake settings on hie 22 are stated as 75%, stock PWM, and linear slope. In my B4.1 (VXT10-BE with a VST8.5) any brake setting less than 85% might as well be 0%...I'm now wondering if it is because the PWM is set to 9600.
Looking at all of the options on the setup sheet I guess I know what most of it does but I'm unclear on the PWM for both brake and throttle. Edit: you know if you read the user manual it has some good info :D. So What is "stock" listed in Dave's setup? Why when set to 9600 do I have to have my brakes so high to get any braking? |
Fellas I dont know what I wanna get lol. Wanting a new esc and motor and I am torn between the vtx10r and the vtx1 and the black edition vtx10. But I need to buy one of them with the pro gauge. If it is going to stay in the 22, get the BE VTX10. More then enough for buggy.
