Brian - what system are you running and under what conditions does it shut off? checklist of things to check:
- power connections (battery and plugs, if used)
- sensor cable
- different motor (or sensor board in motor is you have one)
- Capacitor board (check solder points, or replace).

If the power cuts off, something is happening somewhere. If it comes back on, my 1st thought is something is loose somewhere.

maybe is the bullet connectors? mine had a slight wiggle. once replaced no more shut off issues. =]

Reedy 10.5t motor w/Viper ESC??

Would a Reedy 10.5t motor mate up fine with the new Viper VXT10 ESC? Bad idea? Good idea?

Question. I have you guys copperhead combo love it, so I went out bought the 10vtx r combo and was wondering if their was a way I could have reverse added to my profiles some how

Yes, you can put the VTX in practice mode and it will activate reverse, and reverse power features. It will disable motor boost functions though. Reason: reverse + boost = potential warranty issue.

Okay thanks.

So after recessing the switch into the foam block, the issue I had with the esc cutting off is gone. I ran pretty hard after getting hacked really bad in heat 3 today, and ended up in 3rd in the Amain. Have had no cutoff issues at all today. Glad to know that I figured out what it was.

How did you end up doing so far this weekend Nick?

nikos2002 06-23-2012 10:45 PM

Strange but interesting conclusion there Dan. Haven't really gotten any race reports yet from the weekend.

Here in the NE, lots of people are either at the ROAR Gas Nats, or going to watch the mains tomorrow (Today, as I type at 1:45am). I know Paul Sinclair and Steve Downs were going to a big race in Ohio, but I haven't heard results yet.

Do all your ESC's come with soldering posts? No plugs?

Im going to be getting a XRAY TC pretty darn soon, I want orange to match up. So what ESC/Motor combo would be best for indoor carpet?

Doesn't that really just depend on what class you plan to run...

Oh well stock, but would like a sensored motor for finer throttle control.
