I am very hard on servos, and cheap servos will not last. I have stripped the gears out of Savox 1258 servo three times. I hit the wall a lot. That is why I went with the 2271 and 2274 HV brushless servos. They can take a lot of abuse. I thought I also lost centering on my 2271, but I turned it off, and turned left and right a bunch of times, and it is good to go. I run these in my Durango 4x4 buggy and short course truck. I break a lot of front end parts on both vehicles, so that is why I buy the strongest I can find.

I have a 2273 hv brushless and 2274 hv brushless in my Nitro buggy. I don't remember which one i'm using for steering, but which ever one it is, the mounting tabs on one side broke clean off from the case. The tab is still screwed to the chassis with the included rubber grommets. Has anyone had this happen? I never had a servo do that before!

Installed sc-0251 yesterday and it fried my mamba max pro. Great servo for the money but was told by a castle tech you need an external bec.

I have that same servo. Ran it with a Sidewinder 3 ESC with no problem. Running it on a Duratrax Onyx ESC right now with no problems. I have read from others that this servo usually doesnt give you the problems that some of the other savox servos do.

Did you end up getting a BEC? If so did it solve your issue? How is it working for you?

Which Savox Servo model is best to use in a nitro 1/8 buggy? Looking for the best performance and durability (indestructible if can)....

Its on the side under the mounting tabs.

So found out Savox does not have a repair facility in the states today when I called about a couple servos that need repair that I bought second hand. I should of done more research before buying I guess.
Anyone know of a place that works on off brand servos?

I have a piece of a screw in the spline of servo horn on a 1267. I have also a 1258 with faulty PCB.

Is it able to use the gears of 1258 on the 1267 to fix them ? Or maybe use the PCB of 1267 on the 1256? Can i mix those 2 servos to get 1 working?

Thanks.

Ive had both Savox and Hitechs.. My Savox have lasted my hitechs even after submitting the hitecs for waranty. I've slowly switched over and happy that I have.

i really like savox servos and i think that are value for money. Also i have told that are maintenance and recondition capable. That's also good.

i have a 1267 that can't stay still while idle. In general is controllable but sometimes stays locked on a random position for few seconds and then again start moving 10-15 degrees without transmitter input.

What might be the problem? motor or PCB? anyone help please?
