I like the 7940. i run straight lipo so I have to stick with the 7940, 7950 and 7954. The 7940 is fast. I got use to the faster servos when I ran the JR 9100s servos. So far the 7940 have been great in the buggy and truggy. anything with .10 or faster is food with me.

Here are the stats.
Torque: 182/222 oz./in. (6v/7.4v)
Speed: 0.07/0.06 sec @ 60 deg. (6v/7.4v)

I have used the 7965 before too when I ran a nimh pack.
Torque: 139 oz/in @ 6V
Speed: 0.10 sec/60 deg @ 6V

did you break your servo this weekend?

Futaba BLS451.

i find myself thinking how hard it would be to pull the trigger faster then one tenth of a second. That is 0.10. I know my triger finger is not faster then this. And guess it would be opening the slide faster, but there has to be a point of dimenished gains. Your carburator can only react so fast.

X2 7940 FTW!! Nothing compares to the Hitec HV servos.:nod:

The BLS451 is also a great servo! I used the older non-BLS 451 for a long time. I have a BLS451 now that I have used in throttle with great results. Only downside is they can't run on unreg. lipo. And their warranty service isn't as good as Hitec's is.:nod:

ive been running the hitech mg645 for a couple months and i have already replaced 2 of them!....i make sure my epa is adjusted so much to were i barely even have breaks!....and i also have made sure i am not pulling the slide on the carb past wide open! idont even let it go wide open!....it doesnt hit the chassis cause i use the rubber grommets!...i dont know but im on my 3rd one,luckily my LHS just swaps them out with no hassle!

what about the 7955 with lipo?

645 is not the same as a 5645. 645 is a very low end analog Hitec. NOT a servo I would recommend for 1/8 scale for throttle or steering. 5645 is better, but still not what I would recommend.;)

throttle/brake=unregulated ko propo 2368&2386 since i have a box full of them and they are worthless on steering.

and im pretty sure i have the hitec 7955tg for steering cause it doest have the sticker on it but it looks identical to it!....anyways this servo i have had now for almost a year and was bought used, is AWESOME!...i want to buy a NEW 1 for my steering and run the old 1 in my throttle:nod:...that would probably eliminate my 5645mg problem:flaming:

7955 is always a GREAT choice. Most solid servo out there! Lots of guys run them with a lipo.:nod:

scratch that my bad i just looked and it is the hs-645mg:(....it was only $30:ha: brand new!...oh well back to the drawing board!....any1 have a 7955tg for sale:lol:

Slightly better but still a bit slow and underpowered for 1/8 scale. You should get that second 7955. All of your problems will go away.:nod:
