I don't know what is best for the Losi, but I know it needs to be fairly beefy, as they tend to burn up in losi if not set up just right.. Doesn't need to be a speed servo, but most run them, especially those that run electrics in the winter.. It iwll feel more like and electric the quicker it gets..

I say you need at least 150 oz/in of torque, and .12sec or better..

7985 is 180oz at .12 sec

in hindsight i should have just got a 7955. They are about the same price and you really can't feel that much a difference in quickness. Although in almost 2 years i have yet to have any problem whatsoever with both of them. And i run 3 throttle return bands.

Team Orion VDS-1007. Super fast (0.07 sec) and more than enough power for throttle (10 kg)

Those servos where great the first 4-5 months I had them but now they are just troublesome. I have had a motor quit on a VDS-1007 and the gears strip out on a VDS-2015. I know how to set my EPA's and make sure there is no binding in the system. I got 4 servos to start the season and with %50 down I am not impressed like I was in the beginning. The only thing that has let me down more is the Team Orion customer service or lack there of.

I hear alot of people swear by the 7955TG for BOTH steering and throttle especially on the Losi since it likes to eat servos.
