I checked that the problem was solved by Ver10.77

Ver 10.77 obtained the new function called cell warming.
We can control the battery temperature before charge using Temp Detect Module and tyre warmer which were connected to protrak. If battery gets warm to the temperature which you set up, pro-trak will stop tyre warmer. And if temperature falls again, pro-trak will use tyre warmer. You can start charge at a suitable temperature.

I have been using 10.72 for a period of time. I am now getting more and more interest in this charger. I have some questions and would like to have you help on it.

1. The charger is able to monitor the cell individually while charging. Does it have any special handling on a battery pack when it found one of the cell is not in good condition? Or it just figure out to which cell is the weak one.

2. Is there any different on Peak detection between with and without remote lead attached.

3. With temperature detection module attach, I have to set the safity delta to pretty high to prevent false peak. For example 0.2v which is a lot more than what I have set on peak detect charge. Would you pls. advise why??

4 When using S.A.L functions with the Pro-trak monitor program, will all the cycles information be recorded automatically?

5. What needed if I upgrade a version 7 pro-trak to 10.72 except modifying the circult board and remote lead socket?

I'm definitely in the market, and the 30-amp Pro-Trak is sweet but I have to admit, from re-reading this thread, it seems intimidating :sweat:

The 30 amp Pro-Trak is great, it's not intimidating at all. It has a lot of functions.....You will get the hang of it once you use it a few times.....

In the usual charge, the data of individual cell is only collected.

There is no difference. Charge is controlled by any case by fallback of battery pack.

As far as I know, the method of battery pack voltage detection is the same also at Peak or Temp. However, Discharge B4 Charge is not made in Temp. Therefore, it is thought that Lockout is not used. I know that it will be easy to generate false peak in early stages of charge in old pack. My pack has not encountered such a problem.

If it is made a setup which sends SAL Parameter, it is saved at EVENTS column. SAL-->SAL Options-->Send Header
** In PRO-TRAK distributed in the USA, it is a name of CDAT. The contents are completely the same only by a name being different, as for SAL and CDAT.

It is necessary to re-enter calibration data. If you have data sheet, it will be the work finished with 1 minute.

Hi All,

I have a question for the Pro Trak owners.

How many miliamps are you putting into your cells, and what charging method are you using for this? If you can tell me about the condition of your cells too that would be great.

The reason I'm asking is I'm seeing a big difference across different types of chargers but of the four people at my club who use Pro Traks it seems to be fairly stable. I just wanted to find out what other people are seeing around the country (maybe world even).

I am using the S.A.L. function. I just wonder how could cycle my cell for each time have the ICS equalised. I have the newest ICS unit and my pro-trak is able to control it now. When should I select in the S.A.L. menu?

I did the following setting:

-I turn off the toggle options.
-Start S.A.L.
-Peak Detect
-Audiable warning 0.1V
-Operatrion Cycle
-Equ after Cycle- yes
-Part charge-No
-Set Cycle - 3
-Cycle Time : 0
-Delay B4 P/Dis :0
-Delay B4 Repeak:0
-Delay Discharge : 0
- Pack Number - 1

I found that in the very 1st begining, it will discharge my pack to 5.4V then ICS will be triggered. After the ICS has carried all those cells below 0.1V. It starts to charge the pack again. Of course it will then discharge the pack to 5.4V again. But afterward, it does not trigger the ICS and start the charge/discharge at once. I have set the Cycle Time to 0. Since my ICS need 10 hours to bring my battery to 0.1V and I suppose it should long enough for the cell to rest. Should I modify the setting.

Hi MR4,

You need to set your cycle time I reccomend to a minimum of 11hrs. You really need to rest your cells between cycles.

I was confused. When I connected the ICS , will the charger automatically wait until the cells being brought to 0.1volt before start another charge/discharge cycle???
