Hi, having some problems with my setup.

ESC HB Xtreme Stock (Boosted setup)
Motor Ballistic 13.5 (retarded the timing to less than factory motor settings)
Kit is FF03pro
Lipo is Nanotech 5300mah 60c (almost new)

Problem: After some time, system loses boost but after I restart it, it comes back
again. It will happen the first run. Sometimes after 10 mins. Sometimes it doesnt.
In whole 45 minutes of running, it will happen twice or once.

I swapped out the sensor wires, cleaned all electrical connections, turned off the
overheat protection but still it happens. I also checked the hall sensors and its
working. I also have the same combination in my truck but it's 10.5 set up and
there's no issues with that.

When it happens, it feels like I'm running sensorless mode. BTW, the green light
blinks when I loose boost.

The motor is like 2 years old but maintained in a regular basis.

Anyone had the same experience?
Shall I get a new motor?
Change the timing board?
Get new rotor?

Thanks

What firmware and boost settings? I've had this before on the 211/119 firmware. Upgrading to the 930 firmware solved the issue.

It can also be caused by adding too much boost too soon. So look at increasing your start RPM to at least 6000 and run a boost ramp of at least 300.

I will try this later, thanks bro...

New V3.1 Zero Spec coming soon .This esc will be the replacement of the juststock but will feature more settings in the software.I think it will be the best Zero timing esc on the market.

sorry guys i cannot say anymore at this present time but it will be worth the wait that i guarantee you .

Any news on this one? I haven't had a HW ESC since the HW-based SP GT 2.0 series, but seeing how satisfied one of our club members is with the Justock I talked him into buying, I'd me more than willing to try a (hopefully) cheaper version of the V3.1 series. Compared to the Justock, a higher amp rating for handling faster motors would be nice. :)

V3.1 Blinky 17.5 setup

I have posted the below in another section but am looking at what settings can be changed in the blinky setup of the V3.1 stock spec speedo to give a better performance.

Hi

After a little advice I have a 17.5 and run it in my T4-14 I mainly run at Stafford and will be at the next Bedworth meeting. I run it at 2.9 and the motor come off quite hot temp could not say as do not have a temp gun.

The advice that I am looking for is a good gearing and what adjustment I need to do on the end bell trimming

I run it with a V3.1 stock speck speedo in blindly and again not altered any settings in the speedo. Is there also a site to get or see other racers set ups

Thanks
Andrew

The other night I attempted to update the firmware with the latest USB software.

Successful firmware update on my new Multifunction LCD Program box. As for my Hobbywing Stock V3.1 ESC, the update failed -- received a communication error. Once that happened my ESC will no longer work. Seems to power up fine but no power to the motor and no longer make a connection to the LCD Program box -- also will not calibrate to my radio. It simply won't work now.

I have two of these and I fear it may happen again when updating the firmware in the future. Anyone know what to do if this happens again?

The same exact thing just happened to me. Help? And what caused it?

I am also very interested in this esc. Any word on when it will be shipping to vendors?

Please update this thread when you find a resolution. I will do the same. I think something might be wrong with the latest build of USB Link or the ESC firmware.

note to self - do not update software

hyujmn 08-06-2014 06:31 PM

I updated mine just fine. I first installed the newest v3.43 USB Link software and then just went through and updated the firmware. Did two v3.1s, one in blinky and one in mod and both turned out perfectly.

The mod software is noticeably smoother! I felt like I had supreme control over my car's speed in tight corners. However, I did notice my ESC running about 10 degrees hotter than normal. With the previous firmware, it woudl come off the track at around 135-140, but yesterday I saw 149f a couple of times. Is this to be expected?
