Maybe someone can help me out.

I have a hobbywing v3 that I bought used that did not come with the screws for the fan. Does anyone happen to know the screw size and length I would need.

Also does program/fan port pull 6v from bec voltage or is it battery voltage?

The fan screws in my HPI Flux Pro are M3x16mm.

The PRG/FAN connection is battery voltage so runs the fan faster than a spare receiver plug.

I have a question regarding 930stock if i have boost at 30 and turbo at 10 for example would it be faster than a setup with boost at 40 and turbo at 0 and would one have a longer runtime than the other?

What transmitter are you using?
If it is Futaba then you can alter the way you throttle responce is going.
Like progressive, none progressive or liniar and the speed it does it.

regards Roy

And did you really did it according to the following steps?:

- Switch on Tx
- Press and hold red button and switch on ESC.(motor starts beeping)
- Leave throttle at neutral, press red button (motor beeps 1 time)
- Give and hold full throttle, press red button (motor beeps 2 times)
- Give and hold full brake, press red button (motor beeps 3 times)

Everything should be set now.

Agreed with this... from reading the second post, sounds like the reset was only done on the settings, not the calibration.

AleD123, Calibrate the ESC as above, then let us know how you get on.

Default Disappointment with HW service

I raced at the weekend at Mendip (U.K Track), it’s a large tarmac track with a 60m straight. It was an expensive weekend, I killed 2 motors x12 13.5 and hpi flux 13.5.

I have attached my setup from the weekend, the X12 had the 4 dot timing insert and geared at 6.6, Similar 13.5 drivers were geared between 6.2 to 6.5. After 3 minutes the motor was coming off at 100 degrees.

I checked the drive chain, it was running freely. My lipo’s MooreSpeed 5600 50C are good condition, punchy and big capacity.

Can anyone see any problems with these settings? Also tried these settings with HPI Flux which has a lot less mechanical timing built in.

Could it be a radio issue, I am using FrSky FR4 receiver not the original Futaba receiver.
I'm rather annoyed that I haven't received any advice or ideas to my issue. I changed from Tekin to HW last year, the main reason was for the support and postive feedback from local racers. I have sent multiple emails to cobra (both email address), still no response, no response on the forum. I know people are busy etc, but I would of thought I would of had an answers after 16 days. Tempted to sell the V3 and go back Tekin.

there are many factors that will increase your heat. I dont race onroad, but I do know that mechanical timing plus esc boost is bad. I have also heard that the LRP's run hotter than some others. Are you running blinky and using motor timing? or are you boosting and using motor timing. If your not running blinky, I would use the factory default timing on motor, drop 2 teeth and play with the boost settings. I can often drop my temps and increase my power in offroad by doing that. I have also found that hobbywings default setting for the stock 930 software are WAYYYYY to high for racing.

Anyhow, I case broke on me and I got a replacement case for my v2.1. the new case does not have the sticker for the A B C + -, is there a way to get one of these or a template I can download and print. I could use a marker and write on the case, but meh, that looks like crap.

See post #9797 for the attached set up sheet. The motor was running 4 dot insert.
