This is a good start setup for Speedpassion 17.5

This is what I've been using with great results.

How you do not melt motors I will never know

Tom, just load up up 930stock or 119stock.. And then tweak the settings down. That way no need to use a seperate program when switching between stock/mod.

Btw, with a 4.5t I have run this successfully before;

Fdr: 7.8
DDRS: 1
Drag brake: 10%
Initial brake: drag
Boost: 20
Turbo slope: 12
Turbo timing: 10
Boost start: 15k
Turbo delay: 0.1
Boost ACC: 200

For lower rev punch, shorter boost ACC, lower boost start, and more boost in general... The above was for medium traction, high traction I was on boost 28, start 10k, and accl at 100! Super punch!

HiH
Ed

It's nice to know that the GM Delta can operate with the Xerun :) ;) I was informed to the contrary :(

millbank 02-16-2012 01:24 AM

I have found that the xerun will work with any motor. You just need to adjust the set up accordingly. Not found any motor that is slow when combined with the xerun. Its all about motor timing. Too much timing and you will generate heat. Simples

Yes sure, I use too many brands of motor, between here mainly GM Star, but not the version of the Delta, had been erroneously informed that the sensors were not compatible

My temp was about 90 celsius. I had 42 in turbo also.
What temp can the sp motor handle? 17.5T

TeamWTF 02-16-2012 02:40 AM

I'm curious... What timing do other people run on the V3 motor? I've always cranked it to 10deg and liked that.

Iron Chef Yokomo?

It's either max or off. Feels like a different motor when u max it.

The straight is quite short. But is the lipo capacity have anything to do with speed and temp?
When the motor was that hot i was driving pretty hard. But i will try higher gearing so i get the acc i want. Hopefully...........

Hi all,

I have 120A V2.1 with Speed Passion MMM 13.5, Xray T3, Sorex 36, not a particularly technical track, medium grip, 30m straight.

Looking for a decent if somewhat conservative ESC setup as im returning after a 5 year absence and dont need max speed.

Can anyone make a suggestion? Dont want to cook motors etc.. Running yeah racing twin fans if that helps?

Thanks guys.

I use the Speed Passion 13.5 V3 ETS, engine specs for our club racing, much like the MMM, use the following setup with good performance, it is not exaggerated and keeps the engine cool.

We also use tires Sorex 36 ;)

FW 930STOCK

FDR 5,5

Mechanical motor timing 10°

DDRS 9

9 - 35°

10 - 18

12 - 20°

13 - 3000rpm

14 - 0,1s

15 - 300

Is a good starting point setup, not need a fan, but in Italy is a winter... ;)

TryHard 02-17-2012 08:16 AM

Ok... it's coming, trust me!
